An incredible example of native ecological restoration in the Texas hill country. Public tours are available for a small fee. You might even get to meet Mr. Bamberger himself, what an inspiration! Highly recommended, especially educational for children and families.
This a very cool place. The Bamberger Ranch is an inspiration to all who are trying to care for native land. However, they dammed a creek running through the ranch. I wonder what the environmental impact has had on all the wildlife and plant life below the dam. It seems to me that removing the dam would prove that the Bamberger Ranch does care about ethical land management.
Honestly an amazing place, with an amazing story. When you spend a night here, it feels so nice to be disconnected from the outside world. Taking a night walk and watching the bats was incredible!
April S. is the best guide.
Been going for 27 years. Absolutely stunning landscape and meticulously well maintained. Get the kids/students out for a fun learning adventure. See the dinosaur tracks and exotic animals. Coolest man made batcave!
