We loved our RV rental at Barton Springs Campground. Although it wasn't the original RV that I booked, we still enjoyed the one that was rented to us. We brought our own firewood but they provided us with free firewood waiting for us at our campsite. Although I didn't like the location of the firepit (wished it was on the grassy area facing the lake), it was still a good time. Our view was amazing.

What a beautiful place!! We had a waterfront view and it was less than 20 footsteps to the water! Great area to swim, float, fish, or just sit and relax. This was our first time to visit, we will definitely be back and plan to bring the rest of the family. Clean campground, bathrooms, everyone was so neighborly.

Clean, quiet, and attentive staff. The staff were very helpful when we had to extend our stay. The showers and restrooms were kept clean. Keeping things quiet was definitely appreciated. Other overnight guests were respectful and friendly. A beautiful campground.

We love this place! Jessie and Carolyn are always so kind and helpful! They were quick to fix a water issue we had one weekend and moved us to a cooler spot out of the scorching sun another time we visited. Thanks guys! We will see you again soon 😁

The campground has a variety of sites with some on the lake and others shady / wooded on the "Island" (E loop). E loop is on the side of a hill. We were not able to see the lake from our site on E. D and E loops are not paved, but the gravel was generally in good shape. I didn't see any official playground in the campground. The swimming area and the outdoors in general seemed to be plenty of playground for the kids I saw. The lady that helped us reserve our site and welcome us to the campground was very helpful and pleasant to speak with. We visited nearby Rutledge falls and Short Springs hiking area both of which were nice. Bike riding immediately outside the campground is not ideal. Many of the surrounding roads had no speed limit posted and no shoulder. Frank Hiles Rd going into Normandy seemed like it would be fairly low traffic. We stayed the weekend of the Normandy fall festival, so traffic early Saturday morning may have been heavier than normal. Drivers that passed me were courteous and moved over leaving room for me. Cascade Hollow Rd out of Normandy looked like it might be a nice bike ride, but I didn't get to take it this trip. There is a long hill on the way back to the campground on Frank Hiles that was challenging for this out of shape old guy. The boat ramp road over to the top of the dam happened to be in the right place to give me a break and a nice view. Tullahoma is about 20 minutes away and offers eating places and other things to do.
