Bathrooms and showers are disgusting with hair, mold who knows what else everywhere. The manager lets his dog runs wild and likes to jump on people and bite people, also jumps on cars scratching them. Manager is definitely on something. Looked like he has been up for 4 days. The old man working there talks rudely of customers and other employees. Younger employee in morning who’s tall is nice definitely one of best employee there. Also the maintenance guy and his wife are great! Hard working young couple. The evening employee seemed no to really care to much about anythIng but was very nice. Have been there 2 separate times in the last 6 months and both time I have been very disappointed. I would not recommend this place for anyone with children or pets or anyone for that matter. Future guest beware.
Just stayed in a “rustic” cabin. It was exactly as described and perfect. All the leaves on the Aspens had fallen off so I’m sure it felt a little close to other cabins and the road then it would in summer, but I could care less. Cabin was clean. Nicest bathroom I’ve ever seen at a campground. Hands down. Cory (hope I spelled that correctly) checked us in and gave us all the information we needed. Super helpful. I only live an hour and forty five minutes away. I will definitely, definitely be back. I loved it. Great staff.
Beautiful site, clean rooms with a desk and heater, shared bathrooms are always well taken care of, cheap showers, hot water. Cabins are close, great for groups. Camp store (pickle liquors) is nice for locally-roasted coffee and other snacks and stuff. New management is super helpful, very responsive with email. Staff is very friendly. We bring an extra mattress pad because I'm a princess who likes soft beds. BYO sheets and pillows. We love this place, as do our jobless dogs
Love this place! Have stayed a few times. Location is great for a camping trip with close amenities and beautiful views. Our most recent trip was a little weird though. It seems this campsite has been overtaken by the locals and possibly permanent residents. While I understand it’s a wonderful gas station/liquor store in a rural area, it was kind of annoying. There were vehicles (older trucks and motorcycles/off road vehicles) parked near the gas station running all times of day into the night. There was one camper set up very crooked with outdoor furniture, dishes, and other things spread all over. We even noticed a few people drive in, shower then leave. The showers have been spotless in previous visits. This time they were kinda gross. There was hair in shower drains, feminine products left on the floor, q tips and bars of soap with paper trash in the women’s showers thought our stay. Men’s showers were not any better. But being the entire communities bathroom, it would be hard to keep up with that. Cabins were clean, comfortable and had fabulous amenities. Fire pits, porch swings, outdoor grills and electricity. They did advertise wifi on the booking but you only can use it in the store or restrooms. We asked about this and they said it was something they were looking into. I get it’s probably hard to get reliable internet access in the mountains. However inconvenient if you’re needing to work remotely. We would stay again but do hope they can clean restrooms more frequently and limit to only guest access.
I enjoyed staying here, the store is very clean. The workers are very friendly. I absolutely will bring my kids and family back next year for the holidays! Highly highly recommend 10/10
