Extremely large spaces, which makes it easy to fit our 33ft camper and truck! The bathrooms were super clean and well maintained, I loved that it was completely private! It was only about 22 minutes from the sand dunes! Definitely worth it, and would still again!
We spent 3 nights at Base Camp. Perfect place from which to explore Great Sands, Alamosa and the wildlife refuges. Clean, level gravel sites, we did not need any leveling blocks. They had large pull thru sites and contact-less check in. We didn't use the showers or laundry. Hosts were friendly and helpful. No trees per say but they are trying hard to get new plantings established. Highly recommend!
We stayed at this campground with our 45ft motorhome and parking was easy. The sites were huge. The bathhouse was a great addition. Easy check-in. The downtown Alamosa was a cute little town with great food choices. We are planning on returning in the near future.
