We stayed here for about 2 months. Everyone is amazing, they are very accommodating and friendly and knowledgeable. The bathrooms were always clean, and the laundry always accessible. The RV spots are very spacious with plenty of room for an extra vehicle if needed. It's close to amenities but still secluded. And there is plenty to do around there. I recommend Base Camp Family park for your next stay.
We've stayed at Base Camp twice, just passing through. It's a great campground! Nothing fancy, but it's conveniently located near a number of local attractions. The sites are plenty long. The staff is friendly and helpful, plus a nice, clean bathhouse. Will definitely stay here again!
Extremely large spaces, which makes it easy to fit our 33ft camper and truck! The bathrooms were super clean and well maintained, I loved that it was completely private! It was only about 22 minutes from the sand dunes! Definitely worth it, and would still again!
We spent 3 nights at Base Camp. Perfect place from which to explore Great Sands, Alamosa and the wildlife refuges. Clean, level gravel sites, we did not need any leveling blocks. They had large pull thru sites and contact-less check in. We didn't use the showers or laundry. Hosts were friendly and helpful. No trees per say but they are trying hard to get new plantings established. Highly recommend!
We stayed at this campground with our 45ft motorhome and parking was easy. The sites were huge. The bathhouse was a great addition. Easy check-in. The downtown Alamosa was a cute little town with great food choices. We are planning on returning in the near future.
