A great campground right near a lighthouse and Acadia National Park. They have bathrooms, showers, camp store, and even a dishwashing station outside their bathrooms. I got a site in the back, with electric, and it was perfect for my week-long stay. They also have a pool, a rec room and a little playground, perfect for the kiddos. Loved being able to walk to the lighthouse and having an easy drive to Acadia! The staff were also so nice and pleasant, this will definitely be on my list for campgrounds I'd stay at again.
This was our third campsite in Acadia and it was honestly the best, location wise it's not too far from everything and the staff is very kind. Plus points for the good clean hy showers and laundry room!! You can even pay there with card which is great
Great quaint campground. Still on the quiet side but less remote and more for kids. Have a heated pool, clean showers (private for guests only), a small store, and plenty of lodging styles: yurts, cabins, tent spots (some with elevated platforms, and rv spots.
Great location walking distance to Light house and the sea wall. Bathrooms were super clean throughout the week we stayed. What makes this campground special is the crew which is running it. Always on top of their game, happy and such amazing hosts. Very definition of happy campers to be honest. Should get all the support from patrons to keep this tradition going with one family owning it from the last 20 years. We will be back in summer!
We had a great time camping at Bass Harbor. The sites were nice and quiet, and everyone was friendly. During the day, it was very quiet as most campers were out exploring. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were very clean. The showers did run out of hot water at peak times, but once we figured that out, we went in off times and had plenty. The dog run was great for getting off leash for a few. Especially since this was our first camping trip with our dog (who is typically unleashed at home). The Bass Harbor Lighthouse is within walking distance and there were a few shorter trails to the ocean within a 5 minute drive of the campground.
