Battlefield Campground & RV Park Introduce

Welcome to Battlefield Campground & RV Park, located at 199 KOA Blvd, Ringgold, GA 30736. As a part of the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, this campground offers a large space for RVs and campers, set amidst scenic hills.

Based on customer reviews, Battlefield Campground & RV Park presents a mix of experiences:

  • The campground is built into hills, which can pose challenges for larger RVs, particularly Class A models, when navigating to and from sites.
  • Site sizes may vary, and some assigned spaces might be too small for larger vehicles, despite prior inquiries about length and model.
  • The office staff is frequently described as kind and sweet, earning positive remarks for their customer service.
  • The campground has specific inquiries about dog breeds, which some customers find restrictive.
  • Garbage disposal and dog waste disposal locations are limited, with only one dumpster and one disposal container observed in a large area.
  • Site cleanliness between campers may be inconsistent, with instances of debris left behind.
  • Communication with management regarding site issues has been reported as sometimes delayed.

Despite these challenges, Battlefield Campground & RV Park offers a scenic setting and accommodates a variety of campers. The large campground allows for a more spread out and private experience. For inquiries, please contact them at (706) 937-4166 or +1 706-937-4166.

Not sure how well I can judge the management. Came in to the park and tried to park the camper in the assigned space and it was to small, even though they asked for length and make an model. Had to park in an open site the office was closed when we arrived. When I talked with the manager she moved me to a site that I could park until the monthly site was open, after I looked at it and found that the camper was gone and I said it would work.I did inform the manager of the garbage, window siding and destroyed fire ring.I was told that she would have it cleaned up when I returned and moved to the site in 4 days. Unfortunately this was not done and even after leaving messages during business hours on the office phone, manager cell phone and business emai I didn't get a response until the next business day. l found out that it was not the staff but my fellow campers who claimed up the site. I am going tomorrow my first day off since this happened to speak face to face with the manager and owner if I can't get the site cleaned up completely. I will definitely update the post

I gave this campground 3 stars but would love to give the office staff 5! We have a 42 ft class A. This campground is built into hills and although the sites are level for the most part, getting to and from is a challenge. Another class A bottomed out while we were here and it took a lot of effort to get them free. They ask specifically about dog breeds which immediately drops them down a star on my list as breed is not a good indicator of owner behavior. The campground is large and I only found one dumpster and one dog waste disposal container and they were close together. There is no mention of garbage removal in their welcome packet. We stayed 2 nights and are pretty sure that the camper next to us may have needed to be forcibly removed as the office staff did not think there should have been anyone there. I also don’t think anyone checks sites between campers for left over debris. The women at the desk were kind and sweet!

Great overnight stay in November. Beautiful trees, grounds. Pool looked fun but was closed for winter. Gazebos. Great bathhouse. Star of park is wonderful Cathy who runs front desk. She is fantastic. The park is laid out at different elevations. It looks challenged, it is not. Saw a lot of big rigs. Former KOA/ new management Will be back. Only complaint is no signage by the entrance. Just turn next to winery.

Negative reviews are either ignoramuses who enjoy dating their sisters or it’s just that lots has improved since their stay. We were here in July of 2023. Pool: nice, clean, large. Not overcrowded. Bath house: the one by the pool was super clean and fairly newly remodeled or updated. Spaces: some small; some large. Some looked a bit advanced to back into. Most of the pavement is new on the roads. There’s a whole new section with pull throughs. Playground: my daughter is enjoying it as I wrote this. It’s old but not every playground should cost a half million dollars! Some spaces are close to the interstate and a bit loud. But others are over a hill and quite quiet. There’s a Subway sandwich shop and a winery you can walk to if you’re inclined. It appears to have been a KOA at some point. There’s still several Kabins. The road is KOA Lane anyway lol. We paid $60 for a pull thru with water and electric. I miss the days of $25 camping but alas. $60 is better than some “resorts” that charge $100+ per night…

Not impressed with this campground. We paid $81 and had 2 inches of water and red mud to step out in from our front door step. We wore water boots to hook the water and electric. We couldn't hook up to wifi as there wasn't anyone in the office when we pulled in at 5pm, so we could get a brochure. The next morning we left at 8am and still, No one in the office. Not sure about the cleanliness of the restrooms as our guest that was traveling with us did not get to use them, because of the mud at our site was too much to tramp in to get out. And we had to pay for an extra two adults traveling with us. We did not use any amenities. That's why I give 2 stars.

Inaccurate website! The website says that they have a 4 acre dog park. The dog park wasn't even a quarter that size and would not hold up to any dog jumping on it. That is one of the only reasons we choose to stay at this RV park. The sites are not maintained well as the grass had overgrown our fire pit. Also, In order to use the swimming pool you had to check-in at the office daily for an arm band. There are a lot of permanent residents which is fine, but if they are causing problems you should have them removed so that short time guests have an enjoyable experience and don’t get fed up with silly rules.

My only two issues with the park is that there is no one there past 5pm and with the unpredictable traffic surrounding them on both sides that’s where the second issue started. We were letting them know we were stuck in Atlanta and was seeing if anyone would be there when we arrived. Not only were they not going to be there but they rented out the spot that we reserved nearly 4 months in advance specifically so our dogs wouldn’t bark if there were people on both sides. This isn’t the first time they have “bumped” us from a spot we specifically picked and booked in advance. The park is very clean and I wish they wouldn’t bump you from a spot but if that’s how they want to do business I guess it’ll eventually catch up to them. We have found another park down the road and will see just how they do business.
