Bicycle friendly campground with covered tent sites featuring swinging benches, electricity, showers, & an outdoor kitchen under a gazebo. It's a quiet campground with a beautiful pond filled with lots of turtles & other wildlife!
I’ve stayed here a month, so I’ve been here long enough to get a good feel for the place. A nice man runs the place, & I see other reviewers speak poorly of him. In my opinion, he is cordial, and keeps a close eye on things. I haven’t felt unsafe here and I walk around after midnight and all hours. Yes, there are permanent residents here, but they keep to themselves. The only thing I’d change is that the showers be a little bigger. Okay, a lot bigger. The place is dated for sure. But it’s (usually) very clean. And they are updating things as I am typing this. There’s a rustic feel to the place. I also appreciate the laundromat. I am thankful to be here. Thank you!
Great place to view nature, right in the middle of town, including a bass pond for fishing, migrating seasonal bird watching, and a warm welcome. Pool and cabins, RV spaces, and primitive pond side camping spaces too. Close enough to walk to two Mexican Restaurants, and so much more!
Cabins are full of bedbugs! After paying $700 the owner hands off a gallon of bedbug spray and says" if that doesn't work, you'll have to vacate!
The place is improving. Was passing through during Covid-19 and the place was clean, neighbors respectful and friendly. A work in progress but still a pleasant stay. UPDATE: 5 stars. I have stayed here multiple times on my travels and it's always a pleasure. The owner is a good guy who could tell you stories of the place when he was a kid. Don't forget to check out the restaurant up front!
