Baymont by Wyndham Daytona Beach/Intl Speedway

DO NOT STAY HERE. AVOID AT ALL COST. Our stay was terrible. Customer service was awful. The front desk staff Paul is AWFUL. For starters the first room we stayed in was still under construction. The bathroom was not fully put together surprisingly they let us change rooms. The next room was not much better. We laid down on the bed to be stabbed by a SCREW there was a screw on the mattress that they put the sheets over. Our bathroom sink would not drain over all the rooms were dirty nasty stains everywhere terrible. Next our motorcycle was stolen out of the parking lot. The front desk staff Paul began to act extremely suspicious and LIED TO A POLICE OFFICERS FACE saying they did not have cameras. When the cameras were clearly visible. Another staff member who I will not name was phenomenal. They informed us the cameras did in fact work and even got the police in touch with the owner to get the footage. Very strange that Paul would lie about such a thing. Overall do not stay at this hotel unless you want to pay way too much $$ for what they actually have to offer and if you want your stuff stolen. Very disappointing. I would like to add I brought the screw to Paul’s attention and he just shrugged it off.

Should have known when I went in to the lobby and there was someone checking out saying they didn't feel safe there for their family. Room were dirty, for reason there were cracked eggs on the balcony floor and paint splattered everywhere. There was pubic on the door to the bathroom, bathroom floor and embedded in the towels. Slept fully clothes and was happy I had my own towel in the car. Overall a complete dumpster fire of a hotel. I now know why it was the only hotel with rooms available on a race weekend.

If you're in the Daytona Beach area this is definitely a property you want to avoid. The room was in a state of disrepair, water leaking from a light fixture on the bathroom ceiling, a huge disgusting rust spot on the bottom of the tub, no toilet paper holder, the air conditioner did not work until I plugged in it. The room was exceptionally dark since there were only two small wall light fixtures. This was our second room since the first room had an air conditioner that did not work. While the hotel is convenient to the Daytona Speedway the location is set back off the road and there was nothing appealing about the property. Best advice: drive by!

We needed a place to sleepover before going to our honeymoon destination in Key West. Unfortunately, I picked the wrong place! The first room we got was musty and the toilet wouldn’t flush. The pillows were filthy and it looked as if nothing had been cleaned or washed in weeks. I went to the front desk and got another room. We took the second room and brought our stuff in at least the air condition worked in the toilet flushed. Everything seemed to be a little bit cleaner, but the room in general was just a dump. The room did not have a telephone a trashcan nor washcloths. Instead of a king bed which we needed all he had to offer was two double beds. We were like what the hell is going on here? This is like an alternate universe in Daytona! Do not waste your money unless you just need a place to park your ass. The surrounding neighborhood is sketchy as hell! The only positive thing that we took from this experience is that there is a waffle house just a block down that serves really great food and our service was super excellent! This does not go with our experience at the hotel as something to add as positive though. This hotel sucks. I guess the guy at the front desk was friendly enough. He seemed to care, but I’ve know that he knows that this hotel is just a place to work and a paycheck take care of his bills because he cannot have pride in this place.

Know the signs, don't dismiss them! Don't bother to travel this way unless you're a different breed or in need of bare minimal comfort. I missed the entrance because it's behind a restaurant or "cut". The first room had a clogged, feces filled toilet complete with leaking moldy ceilings. The second had only one working light, in the bathroom. The third room had an immovable door. No refunds after check in too. :) I don't know if they're understaffed or this is what it is. Great times...
