Great stay like always, comfy beds, clean, location. Miss the Breakfast with sit down, warm food and good conversation with Jason though! It was always a pleasure starting the day off like that and I really hope it starts up again soon! Otherwise, awesome like always! Will return again soon, thank you too all the staff!

I have never had a rude employee until today. I book a few rooms a couple times a month for my employees that travel to the area to help me run the business. I have 13 locations all throughout the area including Woodstock and Front Royal. I usually get 2-5 rooms for a few days at a time every month. When I called at 8PM the lady on the phone was very rude. I was asking to get price comparison from full price to rewards member pricing and I was just met with nasty attitude. I will make sure to raise a complaint, as my team has sent me recent pictures of stains on blankets and pillows. When I explained this to the manager she didn’t even apologize for the last experience, continued to be rude over the phone. If you don’t like working at customer service, flipping burgers doesn’t require you talking to people. No need to be rude. I was kind to the people on the phone THE ENTIRE TIME.

I reserved a room and thought my reservation was all set. It wasn’t! I was arriving at 4:00am in the morning. I had to ring a doorbell to be let in. Nobody was managing the front desk. I had to wait 10 minutes to be let in. Once we got inside, they tried to check me in. Although, they couldn’t find my reservation. They wanted to charge me for another room. I already prepaid for a room! So they wanted to charge me double to stay in that dump! I left and went to a hotel down the road that was much, much more accommodating. They’re now refusing to issue me a refund. Avoid this sleazy dump at all costs!

For what it is, it’s fine. My room was worn but very clean, with nicer towels and bedding than expected. And location is great, short walk to pubs. Just off the Appalachian Trail, it’s what a dirty and hungry hiker needs

Stopped for the night July 27th 2024 after a long day of driving and specifically mentioned how tired and in need of rest I was with the intent of hitting the road very early in the morning. Was given a room on the first floor with apparently a very noisy family directly upstairs, could hear tiny feet running all over the place upstairs. Was woken up by a barking dog very close to my room's door later in the evening (didn't sound like Chihuahua either). Called front desk who intervened by coming right by my room's door and debating with who I assume is the dog owner about if it was noisy and how much just making more noise like I was wrong for asking for some peace and quiet. Finally fell asleep for good shortly after. When I was about to drive off I had to ask and -insist- about getting a printout of my invoice. Learned my lesson, will pay more attention to the details of the decor in the front lobby and be more picky next time I have to sleep on the road. Noticed quite a few little details that needed attention and chose to ignore them when I shouldn't have. Turns out the whole business was like the front lobby, running, cheap and not in the better way. I have been to Front Royal a number of times on my way from Canada to Tennessee and will likely return as I like this town but I will never sleep there again.
