We rented skid house #2, it was wonderful. Not real fancy but completely adequate. The beds were comfy and the place stayed warm.Fishing was good. Drawback, it shows a kitchen, stove, oven, BUT there are no pots or pans or anything. We knew there would be no water, but we were expecting pans, so if you want to have food from the stove or oven bring pans. You also need to bring your own bedding. People and service were great.
We rented one of their ice castles in December and was a great time. Well kept shack very clean. Bait shop had good stock of bait and ice fishing tackle. Good service. Good generators. Informative employees. Nice people. Easy to book and pay. 10/10 would go back. Thank you !
We were in one of the larger fish houses. The house was one of the nicest we have ever had on the lake. The service was also excellent, they stopped in frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. The fishing was terrible and we were a long ways out on the lake.,
Good bait selection and great staff. Called for a jump start on my truck, guy came out in less than 10 minutes in -6 temps with a windchill of -20. Highly recommended!
Highly disappointed with this outfit and their willingness to make any accommodations. Our group experienced a tragic loss of a very close uncle in an ice fishing accident 8 days before we were supposed to go out in one of their houses. They even went as far to let us know they got the house rented out Saturday and still are keeping our money. Clearly they need it more. We understand their policies and gave them as much notice as we possibly could which was still over a week. We thought maybe they would show some sympathy due to the situation and refund a repeat customer knowing we would be back. Just wish some sort of sympathy or an ounce of compassion was shown. If you don't believe me you can search Akaska and you will surely find it. What makes matters worse is we have used them in the past and planned to use them in the future, but not anymore.
