Nice little unattended campground built on a loop. Spot sizes vary. Quiet and very green. Hiking trails are easily accessible. Bring your own water as water may be shut off depending on the time of year you camp.
Surprisingly pleased with this cozy campground. Close to PDX/Vanc and local services, but feels far into the mountains. Hiking trails abound, including the primary Beacon Rock. Small end-of-road loop, safe for the kids to run wild. One clean flush bathroom for each men and women, one hot shower with quarters for all. We were lucky in choosing Site 14. It was one of the most private and backed to greenspace. Also nice were Sites 11, 16, and 18. The other sites, however, were very exposed and had no privacy. Avoid those. All in all a convenient and pretty base camp for exploring the region.
Beautiful spot, but it's not the wild critters that you have to worry about. It's the tweekers who pull up out of nowhere and talk your ear off. That's Skamania County for you. If you camp here, be armed.
Campgrounds was great. No rangers to come through to make sure everyone is quiet after 10 however. No firewood sold here so come prepared. Lots of great hiking.
Nice quiet, well maintained campground. Showers were wonderful after a long day hiking. Lots of good trails and things to see.
