Awesome camping area you must cross a stream to get to it but I’d say most if not all cars can cross it, I went across in a Honda accord and there were a couple of Prius’ across it too. The tent areas were awesome and plenty of fire pits and of course the restroom being so close is a huge bonus. Beautiful area and the hiking trails are pretty well maintained, lots of downed trees but still gorgeous all the same.
This is a great little area for camping. We love coming here but the biggest drawback is the hike in. It's not that far, but if you're used to sites where you park next to a gravel tent spot, then it will feel really far. You have to carry your gear across the bridge and then into the woods a bit to get to the campsites. I highly recommend a little foldable wagon. There are a lot of fire rings made of stones with mostly flat areas around them. The best thing about this location is a tie between the creek and the price - free. There are some little hiking paths you can wander on that follow the creek without going back over the bridge, but I don't know how far they go. We have small kids and they don't want to keep waking after a bit. There are bathrooms by the parking lot so you have to go back over the bridge and they are outhouses. At night if you haven't gone too far in, you can hear the babbling of the creek. We enjoy coming here.
Great for a hike or bike day. The camping spots were also awesome. If you're gonna bike, get ready for some intense climbing, but it's worth it for the downhill speed.
Went out in the evening just to walk around and check this spot out. If you like camping secluded away from the world and connecting with nature this is the spot for you. Beautiful quiet place right along the creek.
I've been camping for a long time up in this area. Good trout fishing as well. Wonderful views!
