Bear Creek Transfer Camp Introduce

Welcome to Bear Creek Transfer Camp, a part of the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, located in Mountain Home, ID 83647. Based on customer reviews, this campground is primarily oriented towards outfitters and individuals with horses, featuring corrals and designated sites for tents, particularly catering to the needs of hunters during hunting season. For those traveling with horses, this camp is noted as a great equine camp, which is valuable as campgrounds with pens are not always readily available.

One of the commendable features of Bear Creek Transfer Camp is the cleanliness of its restrooms, which visitors have described as being exceptionally clean, attributing this to the regular maintenance by the forest service. Campsites are also reported to be clean upon arrival.

However, there have been observations of vandalism affecting the campground amenities. Picnic tables and other structures appear to be getting damaged, possibly by snowmobilers using them inappropriately during the off-season. The rubber coating on these amenities also shows signs of intentional damage, such as melting or burning.

While Bear Creek Transfer Camp serves as an excellent facility for horse users and outfitters, especially during hunting season, it is important to be aware of the potential for shared use with other campers who may not have equine needs. If you are an equestrian camper looking for a site with pens, it's advisable to check availability and potentially any specific regulations regarding use by non-equine campers.

For any inquiries or specific information about Bear Creek Transfer Camp, it is recommended to contact the relevant forest service or local authorities as a direct phone number was not provided in the available information.

Mainly for the outfitters and and horse people since there's corrals and sites for tents to be set up during hunting season. One of the cleanest restrooms we've ever been in thanks to the forest service keeping it clean. Campsite was all clean. Unfortunately tables and stuff are getting destroyed our guess is snowmobilers using them to ride off of and bending them. They are also coated in a rubber dip to protect them and it looks like people have taken hot sticks out of the fire to see how much they can melt off or just burned to be destructive.
