We decided to check out this area prior to the '22 camping season. The gate was locked with a 1.4 mile stretch of downhill, gravel road still to go before arriving at the campground. Up until this point we had driven 3ish miles on a wide, well kept gravel road. The drive brought us past random seasonal cabins up until we got to the gate. There was a turn around area with plenty of room to park. Past the gate the gravel road narrowed significantly. I have concerns there would be issues getting thru with our camper if there were any full size vehicles leaving the area on our way in. There are only 2-3 places along the 1.4 mile stretch where two full size vehicles with campers in tow could pass each other. It is February, areas of the road are snow packed. Lots of firewood to collect on the side of the road. There is some rutting but not anything that wouldn't allow for vehicle with camper in tow. Campground is lovely with room for 4-6 campers but there may be difficulty turning around if you are towing a travel trailer greater then 28'. There are several level spots for tents. Lots of room to roam and very close to a cove of water belonging to Pactola Reservoir. There is a vault toilet and several picnic tables and fire pits. A nice treat on this 47 degree winter day was coming across a group of guys playing hockey on the frozen lake. Hiking back to the car, all uphill, we came across two guys hiking down to go ice fishing. Beautiful hike and we are excited to get a large group of friends to reserve this spot. It is reservation only and you get the entire campground to yourself and your friends!

Got married here, this place is amazing! We had about 40 people camping here with 5 RV'S. You can boat into the cove and park, we had a canoe and a kayak that made it really fun too.

We got married here and it was a phenomenal campsite. Huuuuge rainbow trout just off the shore, peaceful cove, and plenty of space for large groups. Book your reservation one year in advance!

Lovely looking campground, but I drove all the way there only to be told (by the campers) that they had rented the whole place out for a private party - would have been nice to know that somewhere at the top of the 5 mile dirt road!
