This place is phenomenally beautiful! The greatest appeal is that it is not heavily trafficked. We backpacked through Sinkyone and stayed here a couple nights. The views are breathtaking. The black sand beach with waves crashing provides a comforting and meditative environment. The campsite is great. There is even a latrine stocked with TP. No potable water, so bring a filter to pull water from the stream. Can’t wait to go back.
Unbelievably beautiful hike in campsites located 3 mi from needle rock visitor center. Three camping locations each with bench and fire ring. Sites are next to a stream which empties into the ocean. Hike up the bluffs nearby camp for a sunset or sunrise vista.
Used to be able to drive to these campgrounds, but now, 3 mile hike. Amazing views and campgrounds, although no services. Take in- take out
