Bear Lake / Trail Side KOA Journey

Our recent stay at the KOA Campground was truly unforgettable, and I feel compelled to share our wonderful experience. After being on the road for 2.5 months with three kids under 3.5 years old, this campground turned out to be our favorite and most memorable stop. From the moment we arrived, Chuck and Audrey made our stay exceptional. Audrey, though not a native to the area, has spent almost all of her free time traveling and adventuring. Her extensive knowledge of the local region was remarkable—she provided us with invaluable tips on where to find great food, shopping, lake access, and the best hiking trails within a two-hour radius. Her passion for exploration and her friendly demeanor made her an incredible guide for us and our little ones. Chuck, on the other hand, was the epitome of warmth and hospitality. He went above and beyond to ensure that our family was well taken care of. His kindness was evident in every interaction, and his thoughtful gesture of delivering firewood to our camp site truly enhanced our experience. Chuck’s loving nature made us feel right at home. If Chuck and Audrey are at Bear Lake KOA next year, I would gladly make the trip just to see them again. Their dedication and care made our stay not only comfortable but truly special. Thank you, Chuck and Audrey, for making our visit so extraordinary.

Easy late night arrival. Camp site was clean and the showers bathroom were top notch. Only stayed one night but would come again.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this campground. Our special needs kiddo wanted to go camping for his birthday, so we booked a site here. We called beforehand to see if we could request a campsite closer to the end so it would be a little quieter for my son, and they made it happen for us! On top of all that, Audrey at the front desk made his day SO special. She greeted him with a scavenger hunt bag decorated for his birthday, let him pick out some special prizes, and on her way home for the day she drove past us and sang him Happy Birthday out the window. I know this may not seem like a lot to some people, but as the mother of a child who isn’t always treated with kindness by society, it means the world! From the bottom of my heart, Audrey, thank you for being such a kind hearted human, and for making Bridger’s birthday so special. We can’t wait to come back!🩷

It started out a little rocky, myself and the employees got a little grumpy. The recovery was great. They fixed our problem, hand delivered, and apologized. I appreciate their help, the restrooms were immaculate. The hosts and front desk person were really really amazing after I growled and it's been a real amazing stay! I love KOA

Great spot to park our trailer. Fun activities for the kids. I love that they let you park your trailer in their overflow lot on the last day so we can get 1 more day in at the beach even though we have to check out by 11 am.

This KOA is nice. Centrally located. Staff is nice and friendly. Tables need to be sanded down and re-varnished. The grass is dead and dying because nobody Waters. It. Has a nice playground. Bathrooms are nice. Always clean. Large handicap shower. And, and two other smaller ones. In the woman's room I don't know about the men's. Personally, I like this KOA better than the other one downtown.
