This park is a gem. We spent a full day exploring with plenty left to see. Protect National Parks and protect our Federal Workers. Without them, we wouldn't have places like this.
Very helpful & friendly staff. They provided me with hiking maps, detailed parking instructions for the trails I hiked.
The Point Reyes National Seashore is one of the lesser known NPS sites, especially in comparison to the nearby Muir Woods. Here you’ll find a quality National Park Service visitor center with a mini museum showcasing the local biomes and wildlife of the Point Reyes Peninsula. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the surrounding trails are just the tip of the iceberg of what Point Reyes has to offer
The docents are extremely informative, the bookstore is outstanding and not to be missed self guided interpretive display of the area. Lots of free parking
✅ Bathrooms are clean - functioning flush, with soap, with toilet paper. ✅ They sell cute products (one of them this mushroom card. Loving the mushroom products by the way!) ✅ Staff are super nice and helpful ✅ Recommended to watch the documentary. Available upon request and it's about 16 minutes long. ✅ If you're into the whole national park stamp thing, they have it here! **** Coming here is a bit of a drive and there are some curves. If you have motion sickness, take your anti-motion sickness meds and breathe in some fresh air. I do think it's worth it though.
