We hiked some of the many trails and forest service roads. This is obviously a very popular horse area. Hitching posts abundant at the trailhead and the campground actually has four mini corrals for horses if you are camping overnight. There are two huge abandoned quarries that are right alongside the trail but virtually invisible because of tree growth. We will be back to explore these quarries. Lots of logging currently so some of the forest is mostly gone but still lots of old Florida forest with huge live oaks.

There are only 3 campsites. All are dry camping with horse stalls. We didn't have horses, so we put our bikes in the corral. Great riding/hiking trail. Only gave it 4 stars because they are clearing the lot in front of campground so now you can see and hear traffic. Still very quiet to unplug and relax.

This place is a pretty sweet place to camp. There are 4 campsites that are first come, first serve. $10 each. Each site has a picnic table, grill and fire pit. There was kind of a lot of horse poop which sucks. There was also a lot of trash that wasn’t in bins because people suck. There is one bathroom that is an outhouse (aka non flushing) which didn’t have toilet paper. There was one RV there when I was there. But it was nice and quiet. I saw a total of 10 people when I was there on a Saturday afternoon. You’re surrounded by trails if you want to go for a hike. I’d come back here.

We were here on 2 different occasions. It is a nice quiet park. There are only 3 official camping sittes, but there is lots of room between them. Nice trails to hike too.

What a great spot! We are camping here for one night in a camper van and the peace and quiet and views are amazing. Kind of wish we were staying longer.
