My wife and I tent camped here while exploring Wind Cave and Custer state park. It is quite a lovely campground, it seemed like all the campsites were nice and spaced out and had a nice amount of privacy. We stayed in site T which was very beautiful, had a covered picnic table and overlooked a nice little pasture area where deer liked to graze. The ladies at reception were very nice and helpful. The bathrooms were decent. They were not the nicest or most up to date bathrooms I've seen at a campground, but definitely not the worst either. My wife keenly pointed out that the bathrooms didn't seem to get cleaned for the few days that we were there. Maybe that was due to us going during the week and during "the offseason" for the local area. However, I wouldn't say the bathrooms got overly filthy during that time. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Beaver Lake and we would probably stay again if we were ever in the area.

Definitely loved our camp site, loved that there is room between camp sites so you’re not cramped or necessarily so close to another camp site. The property is so clean, bathrooms/shower house are super clean just too quiet.(no fan, no noise) sorry, I personally don’t want to hear others inside of a stall or shower. Office staff are super friendly! Will definitely come back when we come this way.

Well, we have never been yelled and sreamed at camping until now at Beaver Lake RV Campground. Everyone but their grounds-guy were pleasant. We had called ahead to ensure we could bring our dogs and put up a small dog-fence. After setting up our camp for a couple hours, this elderly gentleman came up and started yelling at us for the fence. "You're only renters!" was one of his rants. Duh. To the point where my wife felt threatened and unsafe. When your wife feels unsafe it makes camping not so fun. Needless to say, we moved to a much better Campground where we didn't get yelled at and they had no problem with our fence. If you are looking for dog-friendly and safety I highly encourage you to look elsewhere than Beaver Lake RV Campground. I think their grounds guy has had too long of a summer with campers.

I spent 6 nights tent camping here in July 2024. The campground is very neat, clean and spacious. The bathrooms and showers were nicer and cleaner than some motels I've stayed at. The showers were clean with new fixtures, handheld shower heads and good water pressure. The staff was awesome. Nice laundry facilities, pool, playground, little store that has just about anything you might need. I highly recommend!

We really liked this campground. We were down in the lower part and it was quiet and had nice shade. Cell service was bad down there and we did have to walk up to the office area twice to be able to send texts and pictures. Convenient to the town of Custer and to Custer State Park. There were some barking dogs and people allowing loose dogs and some people not picking up after their dogs. All in all, we would stay here again.
