📍 **Location and Accessibility: Perfectly Positioned on Roanoke Island**
The strategic location of Beechland Campground is arguably its greatest asset, confirmed by customer feedback stating the *“Location was on point.”* Situated at **256 S California Ln, Manteo, NC 27954, USA**, the park is nestled on beautiful Roanoke Island, placing it directly in the geographic sweet spot of the Outer Banks.
This Manteo location offers incredible accessibility. Crucially, the campground is positioned approximately halfway between the northern reaches (like Kitty Hawk and Duck) and the southern attractions (like Hatteras and the National Seashore). A customer review highlighted this advantage, noting they liked the location because it was about *“1/2 way on the outer banks,”* allowing them to spend one day going south and the other north, and the third exploring Manteo. This central positioning dramatically cuts down on daily travel time, allowing vacationers to maximize beach time and sightseeing. Furthermore, the accessibility within Manteo is excellent; the park allows for easy access to the charming downtown area, the Roanoke Island Festival Park, and the Elizabethan Gardens. Campers can **easily ride their bikes to most places on Manteo**, enhancing the local experience. For RVers, the location just off the main highways ensures easy ingress and egress, facilitating a stress-free start and end to the coastal journey.

✅ **What is Worth Choosing Beechland Campground? The Central Location Advantage**
For North Carolina residents planning an Outer Banks vacation, choosing **Beechland Campground** is a strategic decision focused on **maximizing efficiency, minimizing driving, and ensuring reliable on-site recreation.** It is worth choosing for several compelling reasons that directly address the realities of an OBX trip.
**Firstly, and most importantly, is the unparalleled central location on Roanoke Island.** The customer review that cited the location as being *“about 1/2 way on the outer banks”* is the key value proposition. This centrality saves hours of driving over the course of a week, allowing you to dedicate more time to the beach, fishing, or historical exploration, whether you head north to the resort towns or south to the less developed National Seashore.
**Secondly, the quality of the immediate amenities offers necessary relief.** The well-kept **pool and pool deck** are crucial for cooling off and relaxing after a hot day. While some sites may be closely spaced (*“used to staying at places where there is more space”*), the trade-off is easy access to full hookups, a clean bathhouse, and a community pool—an excellent value for an OBX coastal park.
**Finally, the Manteo experience is unique.** The ability to park your RV and **bike to most places on Manteo** transforms the trip into a truly local experience, allowing effortless visits to the town's historical attractions and waterfront without the need to find parking for a large vehicle.
In conclusion, you choose Beechland Campground for its central, high-value location, its dependable amenities, and the unique opportunity it provides to explore the entirety of the Outer Banks from a single, comfortable, and well-positioned base camp.

We had a great time here. The pool was nice, well kept up as well as the bathrooms. We are used to staying at places where there is more space, but we stayed in a pull thru that was easy in and out. We liked the location because it was about 1/2 way on the outer banks. One day we went south, the other north, and the 3rd we stayed on Manteo. You can easily ride your bike to most places on Manteo. Would definitely stay again.
Location was on point. Would definitely stay again. Bathrooms could have used a little more attention and grass looked like it hadn’t been mowed in weeks. Pool and pool deck were nicely done.
Nice quiet campground just outside of town, with full hookups. All the long seasonal people are very nice and friendly. its just a short drive to the alligator refuge too.
This is a very nice, clean, well kept rv park. The pool and bathrooms are immaculate, however the pool was not heated, as advertised. We were there for a week and we never even met or saw the host Robert. We didn't know where the garbage was, but one of the other campers told us. Over all though, it is a very nice campground and I would recommend it.
Beachland campground is a must stay! Perfect location when visiting the Outer Banks. Close enough to for daily outings and far away enough for peace and quiet. Glenn is absolutely the BEST. His communication is fantastic. The seasonal residents are just lovely. Nice pool and a lovely breeze that made you think you were in Aruba. There are improvements being made. Hopefully a dog park is in the planning. Took a walk down the street and saw so many different farm animals. My dogs were fascinated. This Is the place to stay. Thank you Glenn for making our stay so pleasant. Bob and Paige
