Ben Franklin RV Park

Ben Franklin RV Park is a very quiet community. The only noise heard is traffic from route 30 hence the location. The shower rooms are heated. The laundry room has a take a book leave a book shelf. Also lost and found items are left in laundry room. The clubhouse can be used for quiet time if you work from home. Other than that it is a great place to spend quiet time.

We camped here for two nights and attended a quinceanera at the clubhouse. It's a very nice quiet park for couples just looking to get away or for people traveling for work. They have a beautiful fog pond with a waterfall. There's not much for kids to though. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff we spoke to were very nice and welcoming. I left a text message and received a reply first thing the next morning about getting a site.

It’s a very basic park but 5/5 would stay again. It’s convenient to York and the major highways. Everyone is respectful and it is pet friendly. Very simple and great rates for monthly RV stays.

One of the worst campgrounds we’ve ever stayed at. Was finally able to make a reservation after multiple calls/emails. Never once did we see anybody at the “office.” Just on the other side of the bushes at our site was a highway where tractor trailers and their J brakes were ridiculously loud. They used the site next to us as a dump station as well, so between that and the highway noise, sitting outside was not worth it. Not to mention we didn’t even have a fire ring of our own. 2 bathrooms on site that were not clean at all. And the “waterfall” to sit next to and relax wasn’t running so just buggy, stagnant water. Apparently all they care about is their clubhouse and getting that rented out because they had a big enough table at the York State Fair. Will travel the distance from Gettysburg or Lancaster if we ever come back to York. Should just turn this into a dumpy trailer park because that’s all it’s good for.

Very acceptable place if you need to be near York. It is surrounded by hiway but the road noise was not bad. They were very helpful when our plans changed. I would use this place again if I need to be in the area.

The sites are not peaceful or pretty. Close to a major highway so lots of road noise 24/7. Or sewer was t working/draining. Some of the full timers had a lot of trash piled up outside. The fountain was off. But it is an easy on/off place and could be convenient when traveling. The online reservation and registration was easy. The text I sent for help when the site I rented didn’t work for us was immediate, upbeat, and very helpful. So the help staff was awesome!

Great place to stay for older people with no children as there is nothing for.kids to here. But the grounds and facility are maintained and clean. They have a frog pond but it was running yet. The full timers are very friendly as well. It was a great, quiet, peaceful and relaxing weekend.
