Berkshire Campground

We stayed here for just over a year when we relocated to OH for my job. The RV park has plenty of spacious full time and part time lots. We had a beautiful lot with two patios and plenty of grass and shade. The entire park is well maintained with spotless facilities. They have activities for both kids and adults year round. Large fishing pond and a pool in the summer with cookouts and live music. Rent is competitive but reasonable. They are always adding new upgrades. Would definitely recommend over other local campgrounds.

We have been at Berkshire Lake Campgrounds for 32 years as seasonal campers. Berkshire is only 15 minutes from the front door of our house. We go there on the weekends just to get away. The people and staff here are second to none. The manager, Mickey, is constantly asking if everything is all right with us and can she do anything for us. They plan all kinds of activities during the season, and in our opinion, Berkshire is the best kept secret in the area. Our dogs really like it here too especially the golf cart rides. If you are looking for a good time this is the place to be!!!

Don’t let the negative reviews discourage you from visiting here; what an amazing place it is!! The staff, super helpful; the lake, spectacular. They have kayaks and a paddle boat you can rent by hour. They have beautiful walking trails off the lake where you can let your fur babies run free. The pool was big and clean; put put golf course was super nice. The sites and roads are gravel, they do their best to keep the dust down, but with a speed limit of 5 mph, we didn’t have any issues. Some sites are smaller then others, we were on 14 and had a great site with lots of green grass for our dogs. Activities, wow - they have it going on. On June 29, they had a band in from Marion - they were amazing!! Lots of things to go for all ages. We definitely be back as it’s a great location right outside of Columbus. Their store had everything you might need, the laundry room was clean and had ample machines; I think you will love it here too!

My wife and I enjoyed our four month stay at Berkshire. The office staff were always so friendly and helpful! We had a nice size lot for our 42’ fifth wheel in the long term stay area. The grounds were well maintained and they offered plenty of activities from mini golf, fishing, a swimming pool, local bands, and various arts & crafts. They’re also very dog friendly. I’m missing my multiple walks around the lake throughout the day and chatting with the neighbors.

Park is outdated had no choice but to stay here due to all campground being full, Theres around 700 long term spots filled and 20 short term they have 4 washer that half the time you got to fight to use them as your paying almost 4$ to wash a load. The road needs maintenance and if you enjoy dirt and dust then your going to love this campground this is not a rv resort by no means so dont go in expecting that trees fell on on my car and truck. Lastly the manger micky is a rude vicious prejudice lady has no business being in charge of a rv park there was three very sweet ladies who worked there but I feel like they were bullied by mickey! We used the pool twice the summer and they watched us on the cameras coming out every 5 mins to let us no we stopped a crumb touched a rope the wrong way very obvious they did not want me or my family there. Whoever is the actual owner of this rv park i would truly recommend cleaning shop and getting rid of micky her lil friend shes training and her husband also invest some of the money you get for this overpriced slab of uneven rocks without anything to over but trees dirt and ignorance into your park. Also i left this Saturday my rent was not up until the 1st October so i left my rv for transport to pick up today Sunday, when they found this out they were throwing a fit saying i have to be there so fourth well before we left we made sure they had transports guys name number all that good stuff and today they called my guy was 30 mins out telling me my spot was rented and someone was coming to park there trailer onto it (mind you theres 30 spots open) and my trailer needed to be moved! Now not later so they played dumb when the guy got there like they didnt no of him coming and wasnt going to let him in the back long story short take your money and spend it else where I was asked to leave a review and heres my honest i would never return to this outdated 1980s rv park as long as i have breath in my body.
