Bernieville Campground

What a Fantastic experience! We are out traveling the black hills and exploring South Dakota. Needed a place to stay near spearfish after 6pm. Joann and Steve answered the call and were simply amazing. Interested in hearing about our travels and accommodating in every way. Their slice of land is perfect. Close to RT 90, two private bathrooms with showers, big rig friendly, great sections for tents are well, more than fair prices, with a lovely little sitting area to make you feel like you are just part of the family. You two have something great here and you deserve to have your grounds full every day of the week. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for relaxation and to get away from the crowds. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Great little campground that we found as it was getting dark and we did not have a place to stay. Met the owners and they lead us to our site. They had two nice bathrooms with sinks and showers and a cute sitting area with fire pit. We relaxed out there for a while. I would recommend this place especially if wanting something close to highway. Love supporting local rather than the big KOAs

Joann and Steve are amazing. We unfortunately couldn’t stay here but they spent an hour chatting with us and making sure we were sent in the right direction. Very chill spot, dog friendly and the owners are good folks. We’ll be back through to stay next time! Thanks Bernieville

Soooo Thankful I found this GEM!! My Parents had drove over 20 hours hauling/pulling from AZ to ND. They were so tired and needed a place to Pull in and Rest Peacefully for a Short Time. As I searched for a place from my home, miles away, I seen the usual big name Campgrounds, but then I seen this smaller, yet highly reviewed Place. I called and JoAnn answered with such a Delightful Voice, having me Assured in the first 30 seconds that this was the spot for my Parents to pull in to. Beautiful Area, Right off the Freeway, VERY Reasonably Priced as well Accommodating for every type of Tent, Trailer, Camper, Truck & Pull etc. It’s SO Wonderful to see Owners who Love what they do and Take Pride in their Work! The Campground Reflects & I felt the Love over the Phone! I’m ALWAYS here to Support Small Businesses and Future Growth! Thank you Joann, you Deserve the Recognition! Blessings to You & Your Family! LOVE this spot! It is secluded and quiet. Two very nice shower/bath/toilet/sink houses that are well maintained. The community fire pit is a great end to any evening. Located right next to Black Hills Energy Stadium, a few blocks from Crow Peak brewery too. Owners are so nice and responsive to needs/questions. Highly recommend!

The sanctuary we needed while passing through Spearfish. Owners were super accommodating and helpful since mom and I are new to towing an RV. Very dog-friendly, lovely outdoor hang-out space with firepit, and fantastic bathroom/laundry facilities. Highly recommend!

Huge shoutout to Steve and Joann who own and operate this tiny slice of paradise. They are very helpful, and polite. Everything is clean, accommodating, and peaceful. Full hook up sites and even two shower houses with amazing hot water. We stayed for two nights while we explored Spearfish, Deadwood, and Lead.
