Best Bear Lodge & Campground

Amazing Lodge and Exceptional Hosts! My family and I had an incredible weekend at BEST BEAR LODGE in Irons, Michigan. Matt and Kerry went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic stay. They were so accommodating and truly cared about our experience. The lodge itself was spotless and well-maintained, and the cabins were clean, comfortable, and perfect for our family. It’s clear that Matt and Kerry put a lot of effort into keeping the place in top shape and making guests feel welcome. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with great hosts and a beautiful setting, I can’t recommend BEST BEAR LODGE enough. We’ll definitely be back!

Side by side renters beware! These people are out to get every penny from you that they can. As soon as you rent one they start counting their money on how much extra fees they can charge you. They told us that we got the machine to muddy. $20 cleaning fee. Omg are you kidding me we paid almost $500 to rent it. Then said it ruined the belt. $250. I saw the belt it was not bad. We stayed on the trail. And did not go to the tin cup as advised. The water we had to go through was about 2 ft deep. The machine was functioning the same when we returned it, as when we picked it up. Every side by side we passed went through the same terrain that we did. So I guess there are hundreds of side by sides with ruined belts! Basically they said you can't go through water. Turn around and go back they said. This is outrageous, we will never be going back to Best Bear Lodge. You can make all the excuses you want. If I could post the picture of the belt I would. I have friends who have been wrenching on sleds all their lives. That belt was not bad. Either your tech needs to go back to school or you need to go to church. Either way karma will get you for doing these kinds of things to people.

My family and I enjoyed our stay very much! The owners are very nice and always there to help. This place is very pet friendly and the cabins we stayed in were all right next to each other which was perfect for our group. The prices were great. I would definitely recommend this place.

We rented slingshots and the experience is worth 10 stars!! Matt and Carrie along with the staff made it happen. We could not wipe the smiles of our faces. Then when we got back they had a dinner buffet and band. Wow the food and entertainment was great!! Thanks Best Bear Lodge we will definitely be back and bringing friends.

Best bear was a last minute addition to our trip and I am glad we did. We rented one of their Park Model RV's a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit. I was perfect for our group of 5. We also rented a Polaris ORV from them as well. We had a great time riding the trails. The campground was nice, the staff was awesome. We did not go but they had what sounded like a decent bad on the weekend, we also did their breakfast buffet. It was great and very budget friendly. Nice laundry room with newer washer and dryers. Overall we plan to return.
