Best Western Ambassador Inn & Suites

ON March 23, my wife and I stayed at the BEST WESTERN HOTEL in Wisconsin Dells. My wife and I have been going to the BEST WESTERN in March for years. This year it was exceptional because Laura, Angel, the breakfast crew, and and the rest of the maintenance crew were very expedient in accommodating us. The breakfast was great, I informed Laura that in the workout room the 5 gallon water tank was empty, so she gave me a bottle of water and she said that someone was going to refill it. By the time I went to work out it was filled. Our drain in our room was not draining properly so I called Laura and with in half an hour there was some one in our room taking care of the problem. My wife was went swimming while we were there and she claimed that the water temperature was very pleasant and when I went into the jacuzzi it was also great. Check in was wonderful. We were going to the dells and were going to check in on Wednesday but due to the weather, decided to come a day early. When I booked this room last minute, I messed up and booked the wrong day! Didn’t even know until check in! The front desk gal was so nice and understanding and we both had a good laugh about my dumb mess up. They allowed us to stay and didn’t charge us for the night which was wonderful. Rooms were clean. Pool was big and clean. Kids loved it. Breakfast was wonderful as well. For the price and location, this was a win!

We were attending a hockey tournament in town (1/3-1/5) for our grandson and found a great price for a Friday and Saturday night stay. The front desk staff were excellent and very friendly, and made us feel very welcome. The hotel is under renovation so we took that into consideration. There is new carpeting throughout the hallways and stairwells. Our double-queen room was nice, but nothing special. Quite acceptable for the price we paid. We did notice a lot of paint "patching" that did not match the color of the walls. We also found things on the floor behind the bathroom door. Overall, the carpeting in the room was clean, but could use a good vacuuming along the edges and in the corners. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and selection of the included breakfast. It pretty much had something for everyone. We'd happily return for another visit.

My sons and I enjoyed swimming in the pool. It was nice and warm compared to other places we have stayed. The whirlpool was hot and very relaxing. We enjoyed the wonderful breakfast that was provided. The room was very nice and beds were comfortable. Would come back here in the future.

After working a full shift my husband and I travelled 3 hours to spend the night and meet family the next day to celebrate my birthday. At check-in there was a sign that said pardon our mess while we remodel. Once checked in, we moved our car and entered our room! I immediately noticed there was garbage in the garbage can but initially let it slide as it was carpet. Upon further inspection there was a used coffee cup also. I let that slide as we were just there to sleep! We left to get supper and then stopped at the store before returning to our room. After my bath I climbed under the blanket in bed and thought I saw a bug fall off the bed when I flipped the blanket. I saw it land and then couldn’t find it!! My husband shut the light off to go to sleep when I told him I saw something on the pillow. He quickly turned the light back on and found a bed bug crawling on the pillow 6 inches from my head! I immediately called the front desk who apologized. She offered to move me across the hall. I told her I was disgusted and wouldn’t be able to sleep and would rather just leave. She told me to stop at the front desk. I expressed my concern about a refund because it said our stay was nonrefundable. She told me that there are exceptions and I shouldn’t have an issue. We checked out and cancelled our meeting with my family and drove the 3 hours back home. Upon calling and speaking with hotels.com, they contacted Best Western who declined our refund! WILL NEVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!
