Best Western Benton Harbor-St. Joseph

We got stuck in St. Joseph for a night while I was having car problems, while the dealership had my vehicle, the stay would have been better with access to the pool, however it was "out of order". The room was nice and the staff was decent. We ended up getting charged twice for our stay, but was able to get it fixed. The breakfast was pretty good. All in all it was a decent stay. Only knocked the point for service due to the card issues and a point for location because we were technically stranded, and didn't have much choice. But I would definitely stay again if the pool was available.

We stayed this past weekend. Our room was very clean. Only complaint about the room was there was a stain on the curtain on the window. Nothing serious at all. They had a great free breakfast selection but the second morning we went down for breakfast I could smell the trash. It was beyond full from the morning before. Also, we sat at the same table we did the day before and none of the tables had been cleaned, I had scanned them all. They all had sticky syrup on them and finger prints and there were remnants of food and trash all over the floor. Pool was nice, a little chilly, but that’s to be expected. It’s later in the year. But the hot tub was so full of chemicals I was choking 10 minutes in. My chest and eyes were burning very badly I had to leave my husband in there and wait on him outside because I couldn’t take it anymore. We turned the jets on when we first got in and the suds in it made it look like we were taking a bubble bath. They weren’t the bubbles that went away quickly either, they lingered and we had to wipe them off of us when we got out. I would love to go back because it was a good price and a great location, tons of food around and Walmart right across the street. I truly just hope they can get the hot tub situation figured out because that was one of the entire reasons we booked that hotel. Not many hotels left with hot tubs.

Hotel room was very clean- all the hotel was clean. Elevators lobby etc Good.bed, linens, towels. The Staff was professional and made sure I got the room I had requested, thanks to front desk person Sue Breakfast was typical hotel fare, room for some improvement but its fresh and the couple doing the prep is priceless. Stayed here last year was not to BW standards but it has greatly improved.

If you want people drinking and twerking in the hot tub this is the place for you! Only trip of the summer for me and my kids and debauchery going on in the hot tub in front of thirty people. No less than fifteen kids in the pool area. Tell the front desk and their response is the pool closes soon. I didn't expect to take my kids to a mother trucking strip club. Utter garbage hotel. Could not be more disgusted! Update: Sue the manager was very kind so I raised my review

Not very happy with this location. As I left an item in my room after checking out which is totally my fault. After knowing that I had left it in my room and returning to grab it my speaker was nowhere to be found. The lady I spoke with at the front desk was very nice and respectful but I know for a fact I left my speaker there and pretty sure housekeeping took it as it is an expensive speaker. Once again it's my fault for not making sure I had my belongings before I checked out
