Best Western Galena Inn & Suites

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a little get away trip when we got to the hotel and checked in and got to our room it was the wrong one from what we had booked so we went back up to the desk and we were told that we had booked from a third party site and not the hotel website which is what I thought we had done the guy at the front was very nice and helpful and told us what to do so I called and cancelled and we ended up with the room we originally wanted. The room was really nice and big we stayed in the pearl room which was Ocean themed. The only issues we had with the room was that the fish tank was absolutely dirty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months and the second is that although the bedding was clean the space in-between the bed itself and the frame had so much dirt and crud and looked like it had never been cleaned out. Other than that the room was amazing the tub in there was gigantic it comfortably could fit two people and the breakfast in the morning was also really good the eggs were a nice fluffy scramble there was bacon and Muffin bagels a waffle station cereal juice coffee and yogurt. Again the gentleman at the front deck was a really big help and was very polite and nice. 10/10 would stay there again. There was also a sauna in the room too but we didn't end up using it but I thought that was cool too.

We stayed in the under the sea themed room. The room was gorgeous and clean, but the fish tank was pretty dirty. We loved looking at the fish, but you could tell the tank had not been cleaned in a long time. If it wasn’t for the tank being dirty, would have been 5 stars all around. Please take good care of the fishies!

Very clean room. We stayed in a Lincoln room which was a log cabin decor. Breakfast was pretty good. Veggie omelettes and some sort of ham strips (didn't care much for that). They also had other things like yogurt, fruit, cereal and a pancake machine.

Stayed in the Fanta suite with the fish tank and while the room was beautiful the fish tank was absolutely disgusting and dirty....it was horrible to even look at...as of e of the main features of the room this needs to be kept up and you can tell it wasn't touched in a very long time....not to mention it was so dirty and nasty that we had a dead fish by morning....do better!!!! This was completely unacceptable!!! Other than that issue it was wonderful and everyone was very nice...would have e had a 5 star if not for the fish tank....

If you like dirty sheets, card keys that don’t work, and staff who take food away and utensils during breakfast while you are eating, the Best Western in Galena is the place for you!! I don't need to mention the nasty shower curtain or the hangers attached to a ghetto pole; those are just for extra charm.
