Best Western Lakewinds

I recently drove 300 miles with my sister to come up at stay at your hotel. Worst experience of my life. I booked the room online cause I’m a member and normally love best western hotels. But this one was horrible. Not only were they renovating but had a sign on the door that said even tho they were renovating that all amenities were open. Not true not all single thing was open where I had access to it. Also the person that checked me was rude. As well as the fact that my first night there. People were running up and down the hallway. Not to mention when I get to my room only to discover I’ve been put in the way back corner. And the furniture was stained and completely uncomfortable. I would give zero stars if I could. Should have gotten a full refund after the experience I had.

Very clean. Nice friendly staff. Facilities are nice too. I never had time to use the pool or hot but, but they did look nice. The breakfast was also good. It can get a little noisy though. The sound really travels in the halls and rooms

I have stayed at this location many times in years past during this time of year and I am always amazed and happy with the amount of upgrades and work being done at this property to make it fresh and welcoming. The only issue I have is the shower in the room I stayed in, the showerhead and the water pressure coming from it was a let down but overall everything is great, the property is clean clean clean, breakfast is hot & coffee is good etc. Lot's of area restaurants, shopping nearby.

I booked the room months ago when the rates were lower. I thought I got a decent rate. On arrival at the hotel I was charged the current higher rate for the room and was not pleased. The room was ok, but not as nice as Nader’s where we usually stay for less (they had no vacancy). Our room was a nonsmoking pet friendly room that smelled of cigarettes. The heavy chlorination of the pool stung my eyes from the lobby. The pool and hot tub were crowded so we did not partake in the communal chemical bath. All would be acceptable though disappointing, but the deal breaker was the endless noise from the guests above us that kept startling us awake throughout the night. I complained at about 11:30pm and the front desk informed the guests of the noise complaint. They continued to make the noise for hours after that. The breakfast was fantastic, but I’d rather have gotten sleep than a nice waffle.

Our family stayed at this hotel because it was near the beach and state park. It looks like they recently renovated because the rooms were superb. We stayed in two different ones and each was immaculate. Very clean and updated. We Loved our stay here. The staff was helpful and very accommodating. They went above and beyond for us. We had an awesome stay and look forward to returning. Breakfast was hot and varied. We highly recommend it.
