Best Western Macomb Inn

First experience with Best Western we are very loyal Wyndam people but, I can say this was a good experience. Clean, great water pressure, staff was friendly. Only negative thing I can even say is they only had 2 pillows on a king bed (no we didn't go down and request more) so honestly a very pleasant stay! Had coke and vending machines they were VERY WELL stocked.

Great place to stay. Great price and very accommodating! Staff goes out of their way to assure you have everything you need. Super friendly and right by all the stores and restaurants . Super clean as well!!!

Very unprofessional, incompetent and inconsiderate. Booked for two rooms on Booking.com with the option of “pay at property”. The day of, the hotel tried to acquire the money off of my card without me being on the property, claimed that they called my phone at 7:30am, even though I haven’t received a call from them because even with my phone number being on the website, they somehow ended up calling another person’s number whom they claimed was rude to them because they didn’t know what the hotel was talking about and didn’t reserve any rooms. So then I received an email at 12:45pm stating that they canceled my rooms. They got my right email address but called the wrong phone number even though both of them are correctly filled out on the website that you obtained them from?! Contacted booking.com and even they were appalled by the unprofessionalism and stated that they shouldn’t have done that and saw that it said “pay at property”. Mind you, I’m traveling from 5 hours away to get to this place with my family and I reserved these rooms weeks in advance just for them to tell us that our rooms were canceled and couldn’t accommodate us at all. I am highly upset and furious at this. The only good thing I can say about them is that they didn’t charge me for the rooms. Other than that, if this is how their policy works, they need to update it on the sites where people are looking to reserve and pay at the location and let it state that the the charges will be withdrawn from their accounts before arriving to the property. Just unacceptable all the way around.

So disappointed with this location and their manager Kristal Moran. We were in town for WIU family week. My family of 5 live 3 hours away and we made our reservation in June to avoid availability issues. As you know any university event runs late and we arrived to check in at 11pm after all the festivities, but were turned away. Best Western canceled our reservation, without our consent! Their excuse was our credit card declined (which is impossible, since we had used it that same day at Western University). Why they would run it if we had not checked in, is another question I had, which they didn't answer. The manager was called and she didn't care, didn't provide an explanation or solution. MY FAMILY WILL NEVER STAY AT A BW EVER AGAIN. THEIR ACCOUNTABILITY, PROFESSIONALISM AND JUST BASIC HUMAN DECENCY IS SEVERELY LACKING!

The rooms are always clean and the staff are friendly. There is a good selection for breakfast.
