Best Western Marion Hotel

Let me start by saying the staff at this hotel was excellent. They did their best to make things work, but we're in an impossible situation. I had a room on the third floor as did my sister and her husband. Though we have mobility issues, we do not normally need handicapped rooms. However, this time, we checked in, put our things in our rooms and went out for dinner.. when we returned, the only elevator wasn't working. They managed to get me moved to a first floor room, but my sister was still on the third floor. The staff called the owners so they could call the elevators repair folks. The hotel was completely full that weekend. The owners chose to ignore the comfort of their paying guests and chose to wait until Monday to call. I understand equipment failures, but I don't understand not providing excellent service and comfort to your guests. I would not recommend this hotel

My husband and I were caught in a snow storm headed back home and had to pull off and get a room here. It is definitely not somewhere we would typically stay but it sufficed for a few hours. There was trash left in our room from the previous guests. The water from the sink or the sink itself had a bad smell. The beds were pretty hard. They did have Otis Spunkmeyer cookies and that was a plus!

Great service! The lady at the desk cut out coupons to use at local restaurants, on her own just to help guests. Kari at the front desk is amazing, she has gone out of her way to ensure all of our stays here have been great. We have stayed here multiple time, once with an issue from a travel service, that the hotel straightened out for us. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The place is fairly old but kept up well enough. The continental breakfast was disappointing. They were out of butter, the biscuits and gravy were lukewarm and so was the coffee. I recommend staying elsewhere.

We were on a road trip so this location was convenient! Pretty good service at the front desk, had free cookies in the lobby. Lobby, halls and room smelled fresh! Hot tub was out be we did swim in the pool. Breakfast was delicious and staff kept the area clean during breakfast hours. I would stay at this location again!
