Customer Reviews
The workers are kind and accommodating and try very hard to make your stay as welcoming and comfortable as possible. Great area for a hotel but substandard rooms for the outrageous prices. So basically excessively overpriced for the time of year and could really use a paint job, new linnens, and new beds.
Rooms were nice but dated. Cleanliness was ok. Killed two bugs and there was a plastic knife on the bathroom floor behind the door that we just left there but everything seemed clean. The bed and pillows were ok I slept fine, wasn't the best but wasn't the worst. We had a jetted tub in the room which was a nice surprise and made for a couple nice evenings. We watched the squirrels play outback from our window which was cool. Even got a cool video of the black squirrel and posted on social media. Front desk was always helpful and always available. We will be staying here again already making plans. So see you in the spring 2025.
They charge five star prices at two-star hotel... The beds were very uncomfortable. The outlet in the room was coming out of the wall and my son almost touched it. Internet wasn't the best and went off constantly. They need to have better beds. Some of the blankets were scratchy. They had a breakfast but barely... I do not recommend this.
So I had a reservation on 31Oct and 1Nov. Unfortunately I was unable to make it. Mind you, it was for my niece’s wedding. Which mean it’s a must go, but due to that I ended up at the ER, I could not go, called and spoke with the Manager, Peter. By the way I have never had such an unprofessional customer service before. He answers the phone “ hello” like it’s a personal call. I’ve been in travel& tourism for 35 years, and if I was ever inside, behind the desk of a business, I have never been instructed to just answer the phone, “ hello” is sufficient. I had to ask if I was calling Best Western. Then he said, “yes it’s the Best Western. I explained to him that I ended up in the ER, because I thought I was having a stroke, due to that I had 2 strokes previously, and was unable to make the stay, and I may have the courtesy, just this once to get future credits or courtesy refund. He frankly just said, “ no!. We don’t do that.” I asked if there was any exception to anything, he said no. Needless to say, Peter was very rude, unprofessional. I don’t recommend the hotel, nor would I ever stay there ever. Unfortunately it was close the wedding reception and the only hotel. My preferences would by Hyatt, Marriott, but there was none in that area. . This Peter manager, has no place in working in hospitality. He rude, unpleasant, useless.
I stayed two nights with a 9 year old. Overall a great stay, great location and reasonable rates for the area and time of year. The hotel hasn't been updated in a while, but it was extremely clean and well maintained. I believe it's family owned and operated and you can tell they take pride in this place. The rooms, bathroom, breakfast area and pool were clean and well maintained and everything worked! The pool was warm, which is hard to find! It made the pool so enjoyable. There was a nice breakfast with eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, waffle maker, cereal, breads, fruit and yogurts. The location is great as it's less than a 10 minute drive to all of the area attractions and beaches. The hotel property is in a wooded area and very quiet.
