The grounds are so so pretty, I couldn't get over the architecture and vegetation. The inside was gorgeous and our room was great! Definitely recommend the top balcony over the courtyard!
This is the only place we stay when we go to carp. Just a short walk to town. The cafe is reasonably priced and such a great breakfast. Everyone who works here is so nice and accommodating. Pretty quiet for being right next to a freeway.
Our room was good, clean and everything but in the bathroom there was hair in the sink and on the floor. Not just one strand like a decent amount of hair. Another issue I saw was when we got food at the restaurant in the hotel, there was a hair in my fruit. Not only that when I was handed the bill there was an ant, a bug, on the receipt paper. Seemed so gross and unsanitary. There were weird smells in the hotel, 3rd floor smelt like nail polish remover and the 1st floor reaked of cigarettes. I went to the gym in the morning during my stay and not only was the water in the gym empty, there was a man walking back and forth smoking a cigarette and watching me workout. As a girl made me incredibly uncomfy. I was just incredibly disappointed with how the stay went. Only good thing I would say is the receptionist was kind enough to let us switch rooms when there was a very loud crying baby next to us. Also freeway is close and quite loud if you are on that side of the hotel.
We stayed here in a king sized bedroom attached a patio for one night right before Thanksgiving. If it's a sunny day, you can sit on the patio with a view of the palm trees downstairs and breathe fresh air in the morning. The shower had good water pressure. Pricing was at $116/night + plus tax with free parking. That came out to $131.05 in total, which was not bad. Unfortunately the room was a bit small and there wasn't enough room for all of our luggages. Luckily parking was accessible so we could loading and unloading wasn't a hassle. We wouldn't mind staying again if they have a bigger room avaialble. Overall, it was still a nice stay.
We stayed here couple of nights in december. Its an old building and very poorly managed hotel. You'll hear neighbors from rooms above, cold water showers, broken elevators, and the coffee machine hardly ever worked. I prefer a more comfortable place next time.
