Best Western Plus Ft Lauderdale Hollywood Airport Hotel

This hotel is terrible. For starters, both elevators have maintenance issues. On one elevator, the display just says floor 7. On the other, the buttons don't light up when selecting the floor. Next is the condition of the rooms. Cracked or peeling ceilings. A dehumidifier in the room that fills up the water reservoir in less than 20 hours. A door lock that didn't work properly on a door that appeared to have been opened by a crowbar at a previous time. Then there is the pool deck. It is condemned! There is a warning sign on the right side by the front door stating that it is in danger of collapse. To the management team here: Maintenance needs to be a top priority in the hotel. Shower doors shouldn't slide back open. Door hinges shouldn't be rusting over completely. No room should need a dehumidifier and if they do, the drains should go to a hose to drain out so it doesn't shutoff and force the hotel guest to empty it for the room to feel right. You also shouldn't be asking your hotel staff to ask guests for good reviews. It hides the truth from customers.

Checked in for a night before heading on a cruise. Decent location from cruise port and airport. Convenient location close to Dennys for a quick meal option. Received texts in advance telling us they were looking forward to our stay. But they failed to mention no hot water. Only offered a max of 20% off despite not being able to have a warm shower or access to any warm water after a day of travel. Really disappointed.

My family and I stayed at this hotel in December 2023 and had a pleasant experience. However, this year, we noticed that the hotel went severely downhill. First, when we checked into our room, we saw no refrigerator or microwave, which we paid to have in the room. When we called over a staff member, he told us he would be right back with it. After 30 minutes of waiting, we went downstairs to tell the front desk. They switched our room right away. When we entered the new room, we were greeted with a foul odor (smelt like old broccoli which could have easily have been mold). On top of this, the shower and bathroom were disgusting. We noticed there were not enough pillows so we went to the front desk yet again, which they told us they had “no more pillows”. What hotel runs out of pillows?? The next morning, we went downstairs for the complimentary breakfast, which had to be the worst food of all time. The waffles were not cooked, the eggs and sausages were like rubber, and the oatmeal was water. And please, DO NOT EAT THE FRUIT CUPS!! When we asked the lady working in the kitchen area to change out the food, she just laughed in our faces. On top of all of this, the building has a hazard of collapsing, specifically in the pool area (see image). The best part of this stay with leaving. Best Western, please do better!!

We booked because of the location close to cruise ports. Coming from the icy northeast I was excited to sit in the sun by the pool. Imagine my shock when I was greeted not just by an empty pool, but a sign that the pool area was condemned as unsafe! No mention was made of this and the pool is still being advertised on their website - so deceptive advertising. Additionally our safe didn’t work, and there was a distinct mildew smell in the room and on support pillows. The soap dispenser in the shower was completely empty as well. Very disappointing.

I booked this hotel for few days in December 2024 for my family and my self. I came from Canada and chose this hotel because I spoke with the phone with customer representatives and they assured me that the pool outdoor is working. My son is 10 years old and like the pool. When arrived to the hotel in this location I have been told that the pool is not working for a long time. I was surprised and in shock. Came to Florida to enjoy with my family not to find out that this hotel has issues. Customer service in front desk was good she gave us the key for our room and find out that the bad is broken the ceiling is liking. Wow they offer me change rooms and take me shuttle to a different hotel to use the pool in differently location. I had to cancel this hotel and pay way more money to go a different hotel where my family can enjoy. Was very disappointed. The manager agreed to return my money back so I can book in a different hotel. From this moment no more Best western for me sorry bed experience with this hotel every location booked three of them.was really bed. Not recommend this hotel. You can find better prices in better hotel in this area.
