Best Western Plus Hilltop Inn

A rat’s den without light because cars are parked behind the blinds, a flooded bathroom floor due to a poorly functioning drain, and the melodic sounds of a TV from the neighboring room, whose door is conveniently right next to your bed! Truly a spectacular place, courtesy of the most expensive hotel in all of Redding!

I've stayed here lots before. I'm usually happy with the experience. NOT THIS TIME. They put us at the back of the hotel near the freeway. Not great sleep. I think their mattresses and carpet need some updating. POSITIVES- Nice staff, always have a nice pool and jacuzzi, good pillows, great breakfast!

Be prepared for road noise! Even with the air conditioner on the road noise is invasive. Room is basic. Fridge is tiny! 2x2 so not much of a cooler can fit. Shower heads are low, I'm 5'4 and it was right above my head (by a very small distance). Would have thought they were set up for 6 ft tall guests but between that and the 14" toilet, the rooms are definitely not meant for tall folks. I didn't need or use the wifi and had plans everyday so didn't get a chance to check out breakfast. The kuerig in the room was nice. The hotel provides 2 pods so I was really glad I brought extra. Can safely say if/when I stay in Redding again, doubt this will be on the list of places to revisit... especially for the price.

Room was not nice. Bed was weird. Carpets dirty and room smelled weird. There is no bathroom fan and grout was terrible in bathroom, falling apart. Toilet was so close to wall and you can't close bathroom door if you are standing in front of toilet because bathroom is very small. Door barely has enough clearance of toilet to allow door to open. TV was not good and sound was very low quality. Shower had very sparse water coming from shower head. It was ridiculous. You can clearly hear anyone outside the doorsl and windows that walks by. Housekeeping just walked in before we checked out. I paid over 200 for one night. I would not recommend.

Nice quiet hotel with great services. Breakfast was top notch with lots of choices. We ate at the restaurant on sight. Great food and service was faster than expected for the big group we had.
