Best Western Plus Landmark Inn

We were traveling across the US and stayed at plenty of different hotel franchises, but our experience at this Best Western was amazing, especially the staffs were professional and stick to hotel policy which was briefly told to guests while checking in clear and precise way. And they don't allow visitors in room for security reasons, which I respected the most because once we're inside, we can count on the front desk staff for our safety and security. Also, they had a good breakfast, the swimming pool was nice and warm, and the lobby area is beautiful. The best advantage of this hotel is being downtown, where you can find plenty of restaurants, gas stations, and Walgreens in the same lot. I will definitely recommend this place to all those traveling with their family its best and safest place in town.

I stayed here one weekend to go see a comedy show. First off, my light in my bedroom was flickering. The heating systems vents were so dirty they stunk up the room. And I didn't like the fact that I had to see a homeless person sleep by the entrance at the time I came in and out of the building. I told the employees. Apparently they know and she lives in the corner not something I want to see. Bathroom doors don't lock in the rooms. I was supposed to stay for the weekend but I stayed one night and went to another location. Because I couldn't see the homeless person sleeping outside at 10° weather while I was staying there.

The staff were friendly, polite, and professional. When I got there for checking in, there were already 5-6 different people who were checking in, and the front desk guy did the checking within 10 minutes for all of us. We have witnessed a local guy who smells like some sort of smoke and is trying to get in and but the front desk staff stops him and asks him about the woman he was going in as she wasn't the same woman he checked in earlier and staff was trying to explain that they don't allow any unauthorized personal in the room but that guy was so rude to front desk staff and causing unnecessary problems and inconvenienceto all other guests. The front desk guy later told me that because of people like that, we have to have a strict policy otherwise, these homeless peoples will destroy the property, and that's why no other hotel in town was renting a room to these locals. I was so amazed with the way he handled the situation so politely. So, I suggest not engaging with the locals and trying to avoid any sort of interaction with them. This place is amazing, we have used all amenities, and the swimming pool was good, the gym mainly has all the equipment and breakfast was good but has few options for vegetarians. The best thing is they have 24/7 coffee machine and front desk support. We had called at the front desk for an extra bath towels and blanket, and the front desk guy brought that to room within 5 minutes, and we were on the 7th floor. In the morning, they had another staff member. When we were checking out, she was amazing, and her hospitality was outstanding.

This place is absolutely terrible. The service was terrible from beginning to end. To start I called everything seemed great, the guy over the phone got me a great deal with fees. I hung up thinking I had a booked hotel room, I was travelling far so I got on the road. That’s when the horrible check in experience began. I get there and it almost seemed like I was bothering the lady when I asked her to open the door (I wish I caught her name). She finally gets the doors open and looks on the computer and apparently I don’t have a room booked. I ask if they still have a room and phew they do. I hand her my triple A card and she insisted that it wasn’t a triple A card. She gave me a price way above what I was told on the phone. This whole process took well over 10 minutes which was more than frustrating. I will do everything in my power to make sure no one I know ever stays at this hotel. What a terrible experience.

The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful. We like the location in the historic downtown right on the canal. It was clean and quiet.Good breakfast too we will be returning on our next ski trip to stay here
