To echo another recent review here, I stayed here once and the hotel was fine. This last stay, we were woken up by EXTREMELY loud pool construction right outside our room. There is incessant drilling. When I went to complain, I told it was acceptable given these were the set hours. Unfortunately, no one bothers to communicate these “set hours” or the very presence of extremely noisy construction to the guests. If you came to this hotel to sleep, I’m sorry but you won’t be getting any and they do not care.
Currently staying here. Rooms are okay, about what you'd expect. However, the walls are paper thin. Upon arriving earlier this afternoon we were trying to relax, but within an hour there were multiple jack hammers raging right outside our room, tearing up the pool area (which, as you can imagine, was empty and unavailable). Called to inquire as to how long it would be going on for, and whether it would be happening early the next morning. Front desk didn't have an answer to either question. Currently, there is a small child screaming its head off in the room next door. I'm a parent as well and I understand the struggle, but I'd rather not shell out upwards of $200 for a night of this. Would not recommend.
This was a return stay after a previous issue we had. We wanted to give the hotel another chance and I’m happy to report that this stay did not disappoint. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The room was recently renovated and looked really nice. The beds were comfortable; the housekeeping staff was so accommodating; and the hotel was centrally located with ample parking. Austin and his team were the most gracious hosts and we will be coming back again soon. Thank you!
Clean, updated, comfortable rooms with shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash, hair dryer, etc. Comfortable bed and bedding. Location is convenient but not in the wharf/ touristy part of town. Close to plenty of restaurants and the freeway. The only downside was noise from guests and cleaning staff walking by with rolling suitcases and carts in the morning.
I’ve been staying here for the last few years for the festival, with my first time in 2020 before the pandemic. The hotel WAS quiet, well kept and cozy. There is no continental breakfast anymore, the coffee machine up front is depressing and there is no microwave in the rooms. The room renovations are sterile but fine, but the hotel IS NOW super noisy with the construction/renovations (that they didn’t disclose on their site) and not well kept (housekeeping is good but the hotel was not). The pool/hot tub were shut away with a gate and obstructed the views they have in their photos/property, construction woke me up EACH NIGHT and woke us up in the morning with banging VIBRATING into our room. We asked for another room but the construction literally echoed into every part of the property. The worst part was mainly the electrical outages. Our power was out four times, we called for three of them. We got to our room late because of the festival, and our lights didn’t turn on almost every night we were there. The servicemen were prompt to fix, but this shouldn’t even have happened. The hotel offered to change us rooms the very last night at midnight when our checkout was the morning after. Just… not good accommodations. I won’t be staying here anymore and not recommend this to my film coworkers. Lowkey ruined our stay.
