A total kid friendly hotel! We came for the polar express and absolutely loved our stay. We enjoyed the pool and happy hour. The best part is we just walked right over to the polar express. We got a card with 8 free drinks during your stay to use during their happy hour which was around 5:30-7:30 I believe. We will definitely be coming back here next year!

Perfectly nice Best Western hotel with the one odd thing being that many of the rooms have no exterior view. I was a bit surprised to realize the one window was a view out to a corridor - after which the curtain was shut. Odd configuration but nothing wrong otherwise. The managers happy hour drinks (why no snacks?) was a nice surprise.

For 140$ you can get a wet room because there’s a leak in the bathroom just on top of the toilet so you can’t even use it, unless you want to shower while you use it. Speaking of which, You can also get a very cold shower because there was hardly hot water. To make it better, the bath drain stopper doesn’t work either so your feet will be extra cold. Breakfast was okay though so yeah. 140$ for all that.

Nice Hotel with a great location near the RR station and Main Street. Good variety of food for buffet breakfast. We enjoyed the Managers reception in the evening. Lots of close parking. The rooms are located around and above the pool in the center of the hotel which can be kind of noisy in the evening. We would stay here again if in Durango.

Omg. Since our stay last month, the GM and her staff quit. The bartender/breakfast guy was overheard overserving a couple celebrating their anniversary and he said, "Drop me a big one (meaning a large bill) and I will give you anything you want. The front desk clerk looked familiar and we discovered from locals he's the drunk, homeless guy who hangs out at the transit station.... and he's hating on me thinking I don't approve of him being gay... but I have no issues with that. Said bartender and front desk guy were overheard by another guest plotting against me. So we cannot in good conscience recommend the place. Why are they running it into the ground? A couple years ago, housekeeping stole my cowboy hat & some nice clothing when I was airlifted to Colorado Springs for emergency surgery; but Grace suggested letting it go because housekeepers are hard to come by; and so I refrained from filing a police report or giving a bad review... until now. Staff has already been retaliating for the negative review and I must warn people not to trust staff with your property.
