For the price, this is exactly what I needed after driving from San Francisco before starting a back-packing trip into the park. Let me preface, I only care about a comfy bed, good water pressure, friendly staff and a half decent breakfast to start off the day. Each one of those was exceeded and I almost wish I had more time to explore what the area had to offer (because of one of their staff member's recommendations). The grounds of the hotel are set-up nicely to walk around, and the following morning before check-out, the breakfast area and the ladies that run it were superb. The options are fresh (fruit for your yogurt is not in syrup, granola and nuts are available). There were non-dairy options for coffee and cereal. Hot options, along with protein were great. I did not utilize the fitness center or pool, but overheard guests at breakfast talk about how much they loved using them. For those with furry friends, so many guests had their companions with them (I loved getting to pet all of them) so I can assume this is a great accommodation for travelers. Again, the price point cannot be beat for what you are getting.
If I could give negative stars I would. Dirty rooms, unfriendly staff. To be fair night staff was nice. I called ahead before arriving asking if they had a hot tub. I also asked if it was working. After being on the road for hours I wanted to have an option of a hot tub. We arrived to find the hot tub was not working, a dirty room that smelled awful. After airing the room over night the smell went away. However, then I wasn’t able to close the windows so that they would lock. The bathroom has sharp edge corners where I cut my foot. The rooms do not look like the online photos. They tried to charge me 7 different transactions claiming that they were not paid. I called my bank and my bank confirmed that they were paid. SAVE YOURSELF from being scammed. DO NOT stay here.
We loved our stay in room 200—spacious, nearly two-bedroom setup (only 1 bed was enclosed) with good privacy. 1 bathroom accessible between the two rooms. Breakfast waffles were fantastic, and the fast WiFi (93 Mbps in room, 137down/73 up by pool) was a bonus. The hotel was clean, with ample parking, and the town felt safe.
Stay anywhere else in town. We were given a room next to what appeared to be a couple of unaccompanied children with an adjoining door. First of all, there was a pretty big gap underneath the adjoining doors and the walls were paper thin. And these kids were little terrors. They repeatedly slammed their side of the adjoining doors and screamed laughing until we yelled at them to stop. Then they pounded, yelled, and screamed for about an hour. We let them blow off some steam then called the front desk at around 9 when it was time to go to bed. It didn't help. We called back and it didn't help. They finally shut up for a while but they woke us up several times throughout the night, at around 1:30 and 3:30 am. It really sucked. The front desk person didn't offer us any accommodation but was apologetic. She said the GM would reach out to us but that didn't happen. The room wasn't great. There were two big holes in the ceiling that had been incompletely mended, We checked around town and also found out we really overpaid for the area. Avoid this hotel.
We stayed two nights in this hotel. The room was not too bad. However, it was noisy, the road noise was terrible. We asked the cleaning lady to just take out our trash. She stole medication from our room and when we complied to the manager we were promised a return call from the General Manager. We never received a call, there was little information provided by the manager on duty and the police were not called. Stay at your own risk.
