Best Western Plus Truckee-Tahoe Hotel

Hotel itself is not bad. The front desk was not great. May be youth. At check inn u wasn't greeted with a welcoming spirit, but a what are you doing here energy. The day I checked out the front desk was helpful and the crew serving breakfast were 5 star. Front desk is a tough job.... but I always expect to be treated as a weary traveler who is seeking rest.

Our stay was excellent. We had two rooms for a coiple nights. Very clean and comfy. The entire staff was very kind. The 4 different young people at day/evening reception were awesome. They were extremely helpful and informative at checkin. Candy at night was super helpful also. Joel(I think that was your name) the manager and his staff went out of their way to assist us with a delivery that arrived prior to us. I noticed that even the housekeeping team and maintenance were engaging in passing. The breakfast area was cozy and great. We used the laundry area and it was nice and clean. Great budget friendly hotel, clean rooms, a hot tube that’s large and hot. A great breakfast buffet with eggs, bacon, biscuits, coffee, juice etc. Restaurants in walking distance, many ski resorts just a short drive away. Great find in this tourist priced town

Check-in was a little odd. Staff had a difficult time finding our reservation from Expedia. Once we were in, Best Western was exactly what we needed during our week-long motorcycle trip. Washer and dryer in a clean laundry room. Clean and quiet rooms. We had to Uber to visit downtown, but the rates weren't too bad. The best part was breakfast!! The breakfast staff was so kind! The food was yummy, and the experience was definitely the highlight of our stay.

This is a great option for the Truckee area with a fantastic hot tub/heated pool, complimentary breakfast and convenient location. However, the pillows here are terrible, the rooms run hotter than the thermostat shows during the winter and the bed only comes with a sheet and a thin blanket.
