Best Western Salbasgeon Inn & Suites of Reedsport

Everything (pool, hot tub, and fitness room) is closed for "renovation." I have been here for 2 days already and I haven't seen anyone working on anything. The breakfast is very lack luster, There is absolutely no night life here.. My alarm clock doesn't work. It is set for 6 am and I can't change it, the know is broke. I need to unplug it to shut it up at 6am

it was a great place to stay even with the reinvasions. the pool was closed for those updates but the front desk helped with recommendation's of going to the local pool. it was great for family and business. i have seen what they are doing with the pool i believe it will be great after. i will be back to stay again during the summer after the pool and spa will be back open to see what it looks like. the staff was wonderful and the rooms were clean.

The room was nicer than expected although the bathroom had ants from wet wood. Fridge, microwave, coffee pot with a nice table chair area had everything we needed. The view out to the river was a surprise since we arrived after dark. Even though it's on the main road, which made getting a good dinner easy, it was quiet in the room. Breakfast was very nice and the staff we met were friendly. A good road trip stop.

Our room was infested with ants. The last day of our stay, we woke up to all of our counters, and property covered by 1000's of them. The office told us to come grab ant traps, which we did. They were used already and had ants in them. Disgusting. The coffee area already had sugar from the previous guests that they failed to clean. My daughter left her ortho retainers in the room after we got done cleaning up the ants. We called them back and asked them about the retainers and were informed by their management staff that the cleaning people found them and threw them away, since they had gone into the room to spray Raid and got all over them. I don't know any reasonable person that would look at obvious expensive dental retainers and simply decide to toss them out like garbage, instead of taking them to their office to claim. The owner has been asked to call or email me on several occasions, by not only myself, but also BBB and Best Western corporate. Nothing in 3 weeks. The General Manager Rose at the location has even been urging the owner to contact me to resolve all of this, but she still neglects a response or any attempts. This whole thing has been a real bummer, mostly in terms of the owner flat refusing to respond to me, BBB and even her own franchise corporate office.

My 2 sisters and I stayed here for 2 nights and we could NOT have asked for a friendlier, more accommodating and concerned staff. Our room was SOOOO CLEAN, equipped with everything we needed and accommodations that were beyond our expectations. In fact we were in town due to the death of a family member and everyone we met in town went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. There are angels in Reedsport.
