This is a nice (somewhat dated) Best Western. Feels overpriced for what you get, but it’s actually one of the nicer hotels in Ft. Bragg. The location is awesome, right across the street from the ocean, great view. I think all the rooms face the water. We were upstairs, nice breeze. The staff was friendly, the included breakfast was fine. Didn’t swim in the pool but it looked fine. The room and shower were CLEAN which was very nice! Shower looked brand new. Good water pressure. The lack of convenient bedside plugs or USB plugs was a bit frustrating, but like I said, a bit dated. Bed was comfy, all in all, a nice experience.
When we first arrived we really enjoyed the view it offered. As night fell that is when we started noticing issues. 1st the heater couldn't keep up with the 41° weather. The noise from the nearby highway was loud and constant through the night. The beds are still old spring mattresses and we're uncomfortable. In the morning I went down to get breakfast for my family and discovered very little food out, and the food on the hot plates had gotten cold. About 9:30 housekeeping came knocking on the door. I informed her we hadn't checked out yet and she proceeded to remind me of the checkout time. We felt rushed to get out of the room, before checkout after a very poor sleep.
We love staying at best western this is our 4th time . The staff is really friendly, great breakfast, clean rooms, and easy access to the beach. My kids teenage girls love the property because they like to take selfies 🤣😂
Never staying here again. Hotel changed my reservation to charge me an extra night even though room was already paid for with points. Confirmed with the hotel front desk that my 2 nights were being covered by rewards points and then they end up charging me the second night. I had points to use, I didn’t want to spend money on an extra night if I had points. There’s nothing best western can do for me so I will no longer be using them and especially not this one. So disappointing
Horrible room that was partially cleaned every day. Seriously outdated with a non working phone and lights. It was like living in the 70s. Carpet that was dirty. Hair in shower. Staff was rude and no one seemed to speak English. Was a waste of my Points for three days.
