Bethany Beach Ocean Suites Residence Inn

The place is absolutely gorgeous and waking up to one of the most beautiful sunsets ever! I highly recommend it. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was amazing, very welcoming and service oriented.

I have always enjoyed coming here. It was nice when they first did renovations, the design is well done, but unfortunately it hasn’t been kept up as well as it could be. This place needs some serious TLC, rooms aren’t as clean, overall lots of repairs needed. Last two visits pool was not operational, and didn’t get any housekeeping services. Had to go to front desk to seek out basics like towels. Hopefully it doesn’t go much further in terms of getting run down. Unfortunately, the room rates are too high for these types of issues.

I wanted to start by saying this place has figured out how to do breakfast. It is amazing, the food is delicious and fresh. It's a great way to start the day, especially after having to stay in this hotel. Sadly that's about the only thing they have, right. We got two rooms here. Sadly it does not look like they had been cleaned. There was dust on top of the refrigerator, the coffee cups had coffee stains in them, the dishes were dirty. The bathtub was leaking so badly It puddled water on the floor. Not to mention the dirt and mold that was building up along the wall and the tub. There was what to look to be feces smeared on the couch cushions. The rooms stunk of smoke. Things were so unclean it was disgusting. The management did try to make things right but it just wasn't quite enough. The front desk messed up and charged us four times the amount they should have. It made it so we couldn't use our credit card for the rest of the trip. We spent more time trying to get the service we needed and fighting for the management to make it right that we didn't even get to walk on the boardwalk or enjoy the beach whatsoever. I sure hope this place can figure out how to run a Marriott. I guess you should probably change the name if you can't meet their expectations because this isn't even close to Marriott standards. It is a real letdown. The only thing they have going for them is the breakfast and the beach.

I've stayed here multiple times, but I honestly have to say it's gone down hill. My room was immaculate and the breakfast is outstanding. However, do not even think about staying here if you don't absolutely love dogs. They are everywhere. I get it , it's "pet friendly ", but I don't think they should be allowed in the breakfast area , I think there should be limited areas non pet people have to put up with them. The couches and chairs in the common seating area are covered in dog hair. They room next to us and the room across the hall both had dogs that barked for 3 days. They were barking at 5am. It was too much. It was like staying at a very expensive zoo.

Nice hotel on the beach. Close to local shops and restaurants. Was upgraded to ocean front room with balcony. Pros: spacious with comfy bed, small kitchenette with reg size fridge & microwave. Bathroom has lots of counter space & rain shower. Breakfast had good choices. Coffee was available day & night. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Gym has machines & free weights. Indoor pool. Cons: Coffee pot in room needs to be updated. Rooms have adjoining rooms which turned out to be quite noisy. People beside us cooked each day & the atrocious smell filled our room causing us to have to open our balcony door in 30 degree weather for hours. 2nd night they cooked smoke alarm went off in our room due to fact they were adjoining & got so bad we had to pack up & change rooms.
