Bethpage Camp-Resort

Beautiful views of the river surrounded by delightful neighbors and amazing activities. As a mother with an 11 year old, the director Topher has outstanding weekly scheduled with arts and crafts, movies and activities laid our weekly to keep my son entertained while also planning entertainment for adults including karaokes, great bands, and bingo! Staff is wonderful, great with children and adults and they feel like family. The best decision we ever made was to have a permanent space here, once you come you’ll want to be permanent too!

Bethpage is not what it used to be. Before we made our reservation for Columbus Day weekend, we specifically asked if this would be Harbor Harvest Weekend--with the bands, vendors, etc. We were told that it was and made our reservation. When we arrived, we discovered that the person who booked our reservation was wrong. It was not Harbor Harvest Weekend. Harbor Harvest Weekend was the weekend before. This was a big disappointment because it was the main reason we made the trip. The second reason we made the trip was to go crabbing. We enjoy crabbing off the dock. But, after getting up early Saturday morning, packing our gear and heading to the dock, we discovered the dock was closed with no expected date to reopen. On the website, there is zero information about the dock being closed. No Harbor Harvest Fest, no crabbing. Sunday morning, we went to the mini golf course. We paid the fee to play and on the first hole, each person in our family got shocked when reaching in the hole to retrieve our golf balls. With the first hole, we thought that maybe it was just static electricity. When it happened on the second hole, we were still considering static electricity. But when it happened on the third hole, we realized something was very wrong. We reported the problem to the staff, and we were gruffly told that we needed to leave the golf course immediately. That made sense, but it could have been said in a kinder and more apologetic way. Since we were being asked to leave and had only played three holes, we asked for a refund. We were gruffly told that they do not give any refunds. We told the worker that we didn't think that was fair. He called a higher-up who gave him permission to refund our money. We asked if they could please let us know if the course reopened. They took our cell number but never called. No Harbor Harvest Weekend--no bands or vendors, no access to the dock and crabbing, no access to the mini golf, no kindness about the fact that we each got shocked three times. We probably won't be back. Bethpage used to be something special. Now, it is just a business--with little to no regard for their customers.

This is the most well-kept campground we have had the privilege of staying. There were so many activities for children and a ton of outdoor amenities. Great place to go fishing or just to relax. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

We read all the reviews before going so we knew the gist of where we were going. Are there a lot of golf carts with loud music? Yes. Everyone is respectful and having a good time. The kids loved the water slides....I did too. Several pools to choose from. Live music on the weekends. The super soaker tram ride was my absolute favorite. Everyone gets so in to it, water spraying from all directions. If you want middle of the woods, quiet camping, this is not the place for you.

The best campground on the East coast! We love this place and will continue to go back every year! Great for families with lots of planned activities as well as adult activities such as great bands and adult bingo.

Im currently laying in my camper after having the world's best ice cream up at the creamery. I've been camping my whole life and this is the best campground I've ever been to. Everything is so clean, the staff are super nice. Sooooo much to good. Family oriented as I am here with my girl and 4 kids. Thank you

We had a great time staying at Bethpage Camp resort. All staff were very friendly and made sure we had everything that we needed. A lot of golf carts with young drivers blasting music was the only downfall but it all stopped at quiet time. Can’t wait to bring the grandkids with us next time.
