Bicentennial- Campground K Introduce

Bicentennial- Campground K, located at 10766 Lincoln Hwy, Caldwell, OH 43724, provides a straightforward and rustic camping experience for those looking to escape into nature. As a part of the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, it emphasizes simplicity and natural beauty.

Rustic Camping Experience:

This campground offers a simple, boondocking experience, meaning there are minimal amenities. It's ideal for campers who prefer a more primitive setting and are prepared to be self-sufficient.

Scenic Lakeside Views:

One of the campground's main attractions is its beautiful lakeside setting. Campers can enjoy scenic views and a peaceful atmosphere. Arriving early is recommended to secure a lakeside spot.

Accessibility and Arrival:

The campground is accessible via a nice, level dirt road. It operates on a "first come, first served" basis, so planning your arrival time is essential, especially during peak seasons.

Permits and Ranger Presence:

Campers are advised to print and sign the necessary permits. However, reviews indicate that ranger presence may be minimal, and permits may not always be checked.

Facilities:

The campground offers vault toilets, which are reported to be clean, although they maintain the nature of a vault toilet.

Connectivity:

It's important to note that cell service, particularly for Verizon users, is limited or non-existent. This makes it an ideal location for those looking to "unplug" and disconnect from technology.

Key Features:

  • Lakeside Camping: Beautiful scenic views of the lake.
  • Boondocking: Minimal amenities, suitable for self-sufficient campers.
  • First Come, First Served: Arrive early to secure a good spot.
  • Vault Toilets: Clean but basic restroom facilities.
  • Limited Cell Service: Ideal for an "unplugged" experience.

Bicentennial- Campground K offers a simple and relaxing weekend getaway for those who enjoy rustic camping and beautiful natural surroundings.

Very simple weekend get-away. Printed off and signed the permit, but didn't have a visitor from any rangers that caused us to need it. Arrived on a late Saturday morning at the Bicentennial campground and was able to secure a spot. Recommend arriving earlier to get the lakeside spots though. Nice scenic views. Vault toilets were clean, but they are what they are. Highly recommended if you are into boondocking. No cell service on Verizon - great way to force yourself to unplug.

Loved it! Great place to get "unplugged". We had almost no cell service unless we went down the road about 10 miles. So nice to hear nothing but the bullfrogs croaking, fish jumping, and great conversation with my family :)

Camped here Friday May 17 2019 . And would just like to say it was enjoyable but would have been a lot better if the people who camped at our site before us are pretty inconsiderate people. We had to clean up trash from the people before us it was a mess. chicken eggs threw all over the area, Broken chair left on top of fire pit, cans left in fire pit, Plastic forks left strung all over ground. AEP is doing a good thing here and I think it is pretty sad that people are to lazy to clean up their area when they leave. How would they like it if someone came to their house and left trash and a big mess on their property. To bad I didn't know who did this or I would have reported them. Something good happens and someone uncaring person has to ruin it. At least be considerate enough to clean your site for the next people just plain being considerate.

Campground is gated and states closed for maintenance, says the state. But a phone they stated the campground will only be used for group camping like the boy scouts
