Nice place, my first time to Oroville. There were some hooks or something holding the docks in place, and I guess they popped a couple of tires. Not ours, thankfully! Alot of wood chunks and dead wood in the lake. Had to watch out and be extra careful.
Jacob the shuttle boat driver, an absolute phenomenal guide and historian of the lake. Pleasant, professional and the most upbeat attitude. Accommodating and informative. Very knowledgeable about policy, procedures, and all things someone should know before investing into a houseboat and the upkeep. Thanks Jacob for the fantastic service 🇺🇸 🛥️
Is a nice place. Very clean. 24-hour access. Tons of wildlife. Deer so close you could damn near reach out And touch them. Almost to tame. And the fishing was really good too. I think that's my new favorite spot up here in Oroville.
Got there too late to rent a boat. But they're expensive (for our budget) with the smallest being a ski boat at pushing $400 for 4 hours. Facilities seem fairly well maintained but shuttle boats to/from their houseboats seemed, um, well used though apparently sea worthy.
Rented a pontoon boat for the day on Labor Day weekend. Bidwell marina was packed! Everyone working was super nice & helpful. Rental process was super smooth. Lake Oroville is beautiful! We will definitely be back. Thank you!
