We were guests of our family here for the weekend. What a beautiful place! We had a great time and plenty of choices for what to do. Amazing trails to hike, a water park, and mini golf. Very clean bathrooms and showers. I am looking forward to returning and taking in more trails. Beautiful and relaxing! I'm seriously considering buying a lot here.
My husband and I just spent a long weekend at Big Bear Lake in the Beavercreek campground this part of the park is very nice with the full hookup sites for RV. They are spaced well and not on top of each other with nice gravel pull through spots. Some of the cons about this park would be that they do not provide TP or hand soap which was not a big deal to us as we had our RV but for tent campers or anyone needing the restroom this is not good. Also unless you are a bike enthusiast, hiker or just love to ride around on a golf cart all day this place is boring. There is absolutely nothing to do. The lake is so small you could paddle around it in a kayak in probably about 15-20 mins if that. We didn’t even unload ours as it would have taken longer to do that than the ride around the lake. The place is all built up like a small city with hundreds of camps right on top of each other and the golf carts are ridiculous there are thousands of them everywhere they had a poker run on the Saturday that we were there and it looked like a bee hive there were so many. A lot of the people who are permanent campers like to ride through the campground blaring their music late at night. If you are looking for someplace to go and just sit this is it but we like to sight see and use the amenities inside the park and this just isn’t for us.
Stayed a night passing thru West Virginia. This was a huge campground area with many permanent spots. Everyone we met was friendly. Camp area we were in was woodys and quiet had bathroom and showers close by. There is a golf cart rental on site to rent for your stay or day to get around. Was perfect way to get around to see all the different areas. Camp store was well stocked with everything.
me and my family went for the weekend of the fourth and stayed with friends! the fireworks was awesome as always and it was so beautiful! but the only complaint we had was the trash on the beach after fireworks and so on.. 😔 so sad how people are sooo careless
Camped here a long weekend for the bike bash trail festival several years now. At Beaver Creek Village, there are 30a and 50a full hookups at the campground, all the way down to rustic sites. Tent sites each have 2 large decking pads that will fit a decent size tent. (See photos) There are no linger any cabins for rent in Beaver Creek Village. Lots of amenities, and if you are a mountain biker, there are tons of great trails! Lots of critters (secure your trash), and the whitetail deer are on the more tame-ish side. They'll be much closer to humans than you'd normally see. Early morning or evening, you'll see them feeding along the main road. The campground is dog friendly! The campground is a but far from amenities, so you'll need to drive or use a golf cart. There is pretty easy access to the water for kayaks or a canoe. The lake is maybe a half mile end to end, but plenty big enough to paddle about and fish. We go for the bike bash MTB festival. Great food from Owls Nest, lots of vendors, and good bands playing in the evening. The only con is the bathhouse. While functional, best bring your own TP and hand soap! There's a lot of permanent campsites and deeded properties within Big Bear. A buddy has a place there. Some of them are really sweet setups! You can spend a few hours just wheeling around all of the camps roads, it's a pretty big place once you go exploring. I am looking forward to returning next year.
