A great location on the Cimmaron river. The bathroom was very clean and recently updated. Unfortunately, the local cows were pest in the campground. They would leisurely walk through the camp. In the herd of cows was a bull, which could be dangerous. The campground is run down with manure, pads needing redone with gravel and basic structures needing refurbished. Gita and Thomas were great employees at Silver Jack lake campground.
This is some of the most breath taking scenery I have experienced. Outdoors enthusiasts will enjoy all the area has to offer. Wildlife, wild flowers, trees and beautiful vistas, plenty for shutterbugs to focus on! Fishing, hiking, mountain biking, 4-wheeling, camping. This place has it all.
Very chill place to camp. And the workers do a great job with keeping it a chill place.
Secluded campground, pit toilets, and fresh, cold water available from the stream behind the campsites on the right side as you drive into the campground. $12/night for single sites.
I have camped here several times. Serenity and beautiful. I saw a bear, elk and mule deer.
