Nice little wilderness area for those willing to portage a bit. The fishing is nothing to write home about, but there are lots of small pike and medium sized bass. The scenery is nice and you can enjoy a little nature for awhile

An amazing getaway for days worth of serene padding. Loons, deer, lots of fish, and some other, bigger animals we didn't see. Gorgeous wilderness and miles and miles from anywhere. If you're looking to get away from everything and everyone, this is it.
A wonderfully kept secret, Big Island Wilderness is a small but delightful paddle-hike area. The park can be covered in about a day if ambitious. First-come first-serve for sites. Help keep the park a secret, won't you?
