One of the campgrounds that did not get all burned up in recent fires Big Poole is pristine, private as there is only 4 sites. Access to the creek is a little rugged but not terrible. It's a beautiful relaxing little spot. I would recommend it to anyone needing a nature retreat, it has a good energy.
Big Pools is a pretty spot but has 3 major drawbacks. Firstly, there are only three sites and there's no undergrowth to visually separate the sites. Secondly, the sites are only about 40 feet from the road. Lastly, the trails to the creek, Fall Creek, aren't easy for small children & definitely require scrambling over narrow rocky ledges to get down to the creek. Easy enough for older children & adults but not for younger children. Even so there's the sound of the creek, lots of trees and the beautiful setting of Fall Creek.
Good creek access but the camp sites are small.
Small and super cute! Gotta be quick to get a spot.
It was nice very close to restrooms and was like off the road
