Pros - Location is hard to beat. Right in the redwoods, next to the river, in close distance to Big Sur sights. The service was good. Our receptionist was very nice and recommended touring locations. Cons - Mildewy smell that permeated even our clean clothes after the trip. Leaky toilet that left water pooling on the ground. Bed sheet stains. Curtains that didn't cover the window fully so we didn't have 100% privacy. Also no sleeping in if you're sensitive to light. Couldn't run the heater and the stove at the same time - breaker would trip. Crappy WiFi that worked only sometimes. Our fire site was a walk away and positioned in the mud, while others had theirs close. (Avoid cabin 10 if you choose to go) Not worth $600 for two nights. I will not be returning.
Lovely campground. Stayed in a cabin which was clean and tidy. Gave us two mugs, firewood, and hot cocoa for our stay and had a nice fire at night. Employees were nice as well. No wifi which was fine with us, as there are restaurants on highway 1 which have wifi if you need
Love this place. Great location. Very clean and well kept grounds and facilities. Friendly staff. We stayed in one of the camping cabins right next to the river. It was so beautiful and peaceful. We didn't want to leave. Listen....the shared showers....these things had the BEST shower heads! Better than any hotel we've stayed. My wife and I both talked about it as soon as we got out of the showers. It was unbelievably great water pressure. Plus the hot water seemed endless. Excellent place to stay!!!!
Very nice campground, but could use with some lights for late arrivals. Also be cautious, the roads are pretty narrow & we learned the hard way that you really shouldn't try to bring a camper over 22ft. Best thing about it is the nice little wading river right down a short, gentle hill. Very clean, though pretty cold. Great for really hot days. It's segmented into 2 big, deep spots.
We stayed in our RV and absolutely loved our time spent there. Great location, Spacious spots, picturesque surroundings amidst the trees, clean facilities. Received firewood & mugs upon arrival, staff was super friendly! Last day we discovered our RV had a flat and the maintenance staff actually changed it for us, and in record time. Can’t show enough appreciation for this place and the people who run it! Stay here!
